  these guys believe that they are running and directing "god's organization" and it is all based on some flimsy parable interpetation about a master who left a slave in charge while he went away with the outcome uncertain upon his return.

  not a very solid case to be pointedly honest.

  jesus would have made a better choice of donald trump to run his father's business/watchtower corporation, he's less arrogant and doesn't discourage higher education, and plastic children's toys are not a major concern of his.. what is arrogance?.

  i recently got an unsolicited lecture from a well-intentioned but nevertheless misguided jw friend.

  the gist of it was that i needed to go to all the meetings or i would miss out on "everlasting life.".

  i responded that i do not need to go to meetings to have a relationship with god.

  Resurrection without a soul that survives death.

  one thing (among many) that always bothered me about jw teachings is what happens to the soul when we die.

  sure god could be capable of creating a body and implanting it with all of our life experiences an memories.

  but how would not be a just a clone instead of being actually us?

  I agree with Island Man. Jehovah can recreate us using the same DNA, our memories, experiences, personalities, etc. are all created by our brain.

  We WOULD look like ourselves, jws taught that others who knew us would recognize us by our aoppearence, voice, mannerisms etc when we are resurrected.

  I do not have the same cells I did at birth, or 7-10 years ago, nor do I look exactly as I did when I was younger, but I am still me, I am the same person, although with different cells duplicating according to the same DNA.

  That being said, I don't have much faith in the resurrection anymore but I hope it is true.

  There is no reason to believe that the creator of life and the cosmos with its billions of galaxies and stars can not bring a dead person back to life if he wanted to. (If there is a creator.)

  the belgium branche of jw in kraainem will be closed.. the netherlands branche of jw in emmen will be reorganized into an ict devolpment office.. all the oldtimers jw staff in emmen is told they have to leave, they are dismissed.. of course it will be explained that the organization is on the move, a blessing from jehovah.. gorby.

  what activities do you know of that were allowed to be counted as ministry time?

  If construction workers can count FS time, literature cart publishers should get to count double time as they encourage each other and watch people walk by.

  They allowed time spent on construction projects to be counted as FS hours? I never heard of that.

  I was way too strict in my FS reports anyway.

  But since they report over 1.8 billion hours spent in FS, a rediculously high number, a huge amount must be for door to door, but does that really matter since usually no one is home and of those you did find at home, very few listened and far far fewer became witnesses.

  But if they did allow time spent on construction projects as FS, that is just wrong.
