  New Orleans Convention website - June 13-15

  looks like there is a "hospitality committee" that has been desgnated to "sell" the convention city for each place an international convention is being held.. other posts on this site have displayed the websites for detroit & atlanta, this one is for new orleans.. .

  in case you didn't notice the false reason given to you, i've highlighted the 15 times you were told directly, and the 3 times indirectly in the letter from the g.b.!.

  so why didn't you reason on the addendum you were given by the org to read out to your congs, which "legalised" this deceptive money-grab from those whom you are supposed to be protecting?

  shame on every last one of you for not explaining what was really going to happen to the donations!.

  WT admitted "Jehovah" is not God's name...

  if i remember right(unlikely, lol) it was a one-page article about the tetragrammaton which concluded by saying that even though "jehovah" was 'probably' not an accurate pronunciation, it is a widely-recognized and accepted english transliteration of the divine name.

  i was thinking it was on the last page or maybe the back cover of a wt pub - maybe a watchtower.. can someone please direct me to the publication it was in?

  i read it when i was still 'in' and it made me stop and think about how much emphasis the wt puts on that name, all while knowing it's not the name.

  And yes, a very good question- if God's name is so important for us to call on for salvation why did he allow its true pronounciation to be lost?

  It does not bother me that Jehovah is not the correct way to say God's name in Hebrew.

  Nobody complains about using the names Jesus, Moses, David or Abraham, for instance.

  We know the Hebrew pronunciations of these: Yehoshua (Joshua), Moshe, Daveed, Ahvrahm. But we all use the English pronounciation.

  At some point in time the Jews felt it best not to write out God's name so it would not be marred, desecrated, thrown out or erased. So it began to be written with the vowels of elohim & Adonay.

  In time the original pronounciation went into misuse, and thus was lost.

  Who Will the Circuit Overseers "Report" to Now???

  i still do not understand the new structure at this point.. there has to be something between thousands of co's and the gb.

  i know there were zone overseers that the do's reported to.. i have spoken to a couple of elders i can talk to frankly and they both said they have no idea.. rub a dub.

  we know the wts will never admit to any wrongdoing or mistakes. This new gb wants to distance itself from past wt history and will continue trying to cover it over. They want to create their own version of jws and bring glory to themselves.

  But United Bible Societies is made up of 146 Bible societies COMBINED!

  The wts is a SINGLE publisher and printer. There is no other SINGLE publishing organization that produces as much literature as watchtower.

  The wts produces more books, magazines, tracts and booklets/brochures than any other religious publishing company and if you include the largest commercial printing companies the wts makes the top 5 in book production and magazine production!

  The largest commercial printing companies such as Qaudgraphics and RR Donnelley print for thousands of different publishing companies, wt only prints for itself.

  It is impressive the UBS translates the Bible into so many languages but none of their 146 societies on a singular basis does as much publishing work as the wts.

  This to me is why the wts printing operations are so impressive. It is a SINGLE publisher/printer producing such vast quantities of literature.
