Sorry- problem with the reply box!
I guess The Watchtower will become "The Watchtower Announcing JW.ORG."
fine line between idolotry and branding... just sayin.... .
i'm just seeing a lot of home-made or print on demand site items with jw.org logos pasted all over.
as an art director, i laugh, because it's hideous.

so i'm reading another carl sagan book and he seems to invariably find a way to slam j-dubs in each one.
(i can't say i blame him.).
anyway, in this one he discusses the fact that the gospels give contradictory geneologies of jesus--differing lines back to david from joseph, and a different number of generations.
I found some interesting information about Messiah's geneology at www.whatjewsbelieve.com
For instance, Messiah cannot come through the royal line of Jehoiakim, that line was cursed, yet Jesus was a descendent of Shealtiel.
1 Chron. 3:15-17 and Jeremiah 22: 18, 30. Verse 30 shows no-one from that royal line will sit on David's throne. Thus by his geneology Jesus cannot be Messiah.
There is also information showing Jesus did not descend from Solomon, but the Messiah does.
"stay alive till '75.
" remember that?
note: this is the year 5774 not 2014. why didn't they tell you that in 5735 (1975 ad?
Some people will beleive anything.
sorry, couldn't think of a better title for this post, without it being long.. i was thinking this morning,if ex-jws, who were born into the group less likely to join another religion after leaving.
vs. the witnesses who belonged to a church before joining the religion.. from my own prespective, being raised a witness,i have no intention of joining any religion.
and it seems that born-ins are less likely to join a religion after leaving the cult.. in my own experience,i think it's religious burn-out to tell the truth.
No more religion for me either!
it's been kicked around already that the conventions were logistically disasterous and spiritually vapid.
my question, and i hope you will add your comments to mine, is: why?
why did the wtbs go through the trouble of putting these things on?
I thought it was so witnesses could mingle with ones from other areas as well as recieve the spiritual food and new releases. When I was a witness the convention was the highlite of the year to me!
a few jw tidbits!.
.. .. a dance interpretation of he will call at a.... .. .. when its raining too hard phone witnessing at the kingdom hall is a great way to continue the work.
ebola - sierra leone, africa update via an email.
Thanks Petra!
They will remove all the Watchtower signs on the branch bldgs and water towers and replace it with jw.org
the biggest regret i have about association with jw's is that they used me to publish their lies.. yeah.
a publisher.
think about the responsibility of a "publisher".. a publisher takes pride in bringing "truth" to the public.
I was too. I told people lies for some 30 years. Yet we thought we were being honest and truthful.
people like robin williams can make you laugh.
we might think that they have it all but we really know nothing about their demons, their problems, their issues.
someone might be funny on the outside but be totally depressed from within..
We can never know what others are going through inside.
did anyone catch this quote?
"over seven and a half million witnesses of jehovah really have found him and they truly love him.".
why are they no longer touting "nearly 8 million" witnesses?
Growth coming from poorer nations works against them since there are no donations coming from those witnesses. The society has to keep subsidizing the cost to send them literature and build khs for them.
Meanwhile less growth in affluent nations means fewer donations coming in.

blondie-
I remember how discouraged I was when those decreases took place in 1977 and 78. In the US it dropped by 3% both years.
They don't fudge the numbers, if they did they would not report decreases.
But the writers always get the size of the Wallkill printery wrong in the km and w.
