It disturbs me that out of 7M cult members, there are only 11k who are asserting themselves. Personally, I don't believe I am going to Heaven and as Peter said we are awaiting a new earth, as well. I want to be there, with perfect, naked women and the free love Jesus eluded to. That being said, there is zero Scriptural support for "observers", so I refuse to attend. Add to that they can't even get the date right and it's a total sham to get that big number every year they brag about.

MORE anointed?
by aristeas inquandry, a veteran member here (since 2006 with 3400+ posts), sent me this thoughtful reply after my first post a few days ago.
i'm reposting it as a new thread to see if others would like to comment on the point she brings up on the rising number of 'anointed' ones.
i had mentioned that i've been mainly out of jw contact (officially anywaya few ex-j dubs/inactive ones i have kept in contact with minimally) for over 20 years.

The April 15th (current) Watchtower. Could it be more blasphemous?
by Slidin Fast instartfragment.
this article:- do you discern the evidence of gods guidance?, equates the faithful and discreet slave with moses.
moses, according to the scriptures spoke directly with god and was gods spokesman to the israelites.

This is exactly why I wrote this for distribution on JW cars at meetings and conventions: http://tinyurl.com/3z8e9bf
While most are total idiots who really do prefer the lie, there are some who are in desperate need of saving from the idolatry that has become a foul odor in the congregation.

Did you Fade Gradually or Stop Attending Meetings Quickly ? Reasons ?
by flipper inbeen thinking about this and curious about what makes us all come to the decisions we came to in our fade/exiting the jw organization.. i think for myself having been born-in & raised a jw my doubts about the generation doctrine had simmered for years within me quietly and by the time i finally left in 2003 i had reached my breaking point.
also seeing unjust treatment of rank & file witness ( myself included ) just propelled me into my decision even quicker.
so - one day after meeting with 3 elders in a back room before a meeting and seeing their judgmental aggression towards me - i just told myself " enough is enough ".

The elders in my Hall obviously really just want me to go away. I can disappear for weeks or months at a time, then come back for a meeting or two, only to disappear again. I never get a call or a "shepherding" visit. They give me my KMs and WTs, then leave me alone. I guess it's because I welcome them to confront me.
My theory is elders are slimy little losers who want to stroke their egos at someone else's expense. This is a lot easier to do with a crying woman who is desperately sorry for an indiscretion. Plus, there are lots of sleazy details they get to hear. An "apostate" who will F them in the A (again) with the Bible whenever they get the cojones to bring it on just doesn't accomplish the same thing for their fragile little psyches.

Why did Jesus come to Earth as a man?
by StopTheTears injesus lived in heaven as a spirit person before he came to earth.
god used him as his chief spokesman.
that is why jesus is called "the word.".

Wow... What particular part of your ass do you pull your theology from? You just make it up or is there some website put together by an underground movement of people who have escaped from the loony bin? There are just so many problems with your post and you are so convinced of them... I don't have the time, the patience, or the license to prescribe the medications to fix everything that's wrong with it.
You have a great day and say hello to the voices for me.

I'm new to the whole JW religion - Can someone please explain the basics?
by Jackals ini recently began a wonderful relationship with a guy who also happened to be a jw.
i have learned alot about him and how the religion effects his life and now i am interested in learning more about the religion - but from a beginners' point of view.
could anyone give me an idea of the basic beliefs and practices of jws?.

Really Maze?
By your logic, if someone wants to know the truth about the Catholic Church, they should ask the Pope. If someone wants to know the truth about the Republican party, ask Rush Limbaugh. If someone wants to know the truth about tobacco health risks, ask the president of RJ Reynolds.
Also, by your standard, nothing the Watchtower says about "false religion" or government should be paid any attention, since it's an opposing viewpoint from an outside source.

Ultimately, Jehovah's Witnesses only have one solid doctrine: Whatever the Governing Body of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is currently saying, is what all Jehovah's Witnesses must believe. All other beliefs are subject to change, based on the intelligence and mental health of a few self-absorbed old men who are trying to convince everybody they're prophets, while refusing to accept the responsibility of telling the truth.

@AGuest
Once again, you give no evidence that sinless flesh is immortal other than your opinion, which - by the way - is the same erroneous position the WT takes, so you might want to check your "I'm not stuck in a JW rut like you are" attitude.
I never said Jesus was Michael and I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with the people on this forum that they love to put words into my mouth, then post a 2-page-long response to their own delusion.
I neither confirm nor deny Jesus is Michael, as the Bible remains silent on its certainty. That being said, Michael isn't "an" anything. Michael is "the" archangel, meaning he is above the angels. If you feel there are more archangels, please demonstrate evidence. I doubt this will happen, since you can't even figure out the difference between an "ark" and the prefix "arch".
Most of all, you seem to be completely oblivious as to what an "angel" is. The word "angel" literally means "messenger" and Jesus is "the Word". If Jesus isn't God's chief messenger (or angel), I don't know who is.
As for your snide comments of "you cannot grasp", "makes me wonder at your basic education", "I am a bit embarrassed for you", "I hope this helps you", "I bid you... ears to hear" - perhaps if you take your meds, you'll see things clearer and at which time I will accept your apology.

Okay... I noticed the Hebrew was not contained in the quotation marks in the pdf version, so I made some adjustments to fix that. It should look better now.

Sorry... Had to change a setting. I'm trying to figure out how to change the default, now.
(edit) Okay, according to Google docs, there is no way to change the default. Each document must be made public, individually.
