  according to the footnote on page 28 of bearing thorough witness about gods kingdom:.

  prayers were offered at the temple in conjunction with the morning and evening sacrifices.

  the evening sacrifice was held at the ninth hour, or about three in the afternoon.. this sacrifice is the one ordered in exodus 29:38-42:.

  while beth sarim has garnered much coverage, beth shan hasn't.

  it was a colossal pain in the neck finding the location, but i finally tracked it down.

  here are google map links to the locations, so you can see them for yourself.. beth sarim 4440 braeburn road, san diego, ca 92116. beth shan 4825 avion way, san diego, ca 92115 (main house; original compound covered several current lots).

  A thought about the "imperfect men" excuse for false teachings.

  in researching and writing this, a thought occurred to me.... has anyone ever asked this: if the society is "the faithful and discreet slave" of mat 24, they have been given authority over all of christ's belongings (including the people), are spirit-led and god's sole means of communication, and are entrusted with revealing "food at the proper time", why are they held to a lower standard than the "other sheep"?.

  if they blatantly violate scripture, if they make false prophecies, if they reverse their decisions repeatedly, if they go way beyond what is written, if they hold a position for years or decades which is obviously and finally admitted to be false, they are given a total pass as "imperfect men" and "not infallible".

  meanwhile, if you or i have a belief jws feel is "wrong" - we're not spirit-directed mouthpieces of god - why are we "apostates"?

  my wife threatened to leave/kill me if i did it, but maybe yours has a better sense of humor.

  in case you were around for the big nisan 14/15 debate, you might know i assert the bible absolutely and thoroughly demonstrates the passover falls on nisan 15 and nisan 14 was the "preparation day".. tonight, at the book study, the daily sacrifice that was to be done twice a day at the temple was mentioned.. prayers were offered at the temple in conjunction with the morning and evening sacrifices.

  we must obey the faithful and discreet slave if we are to have jehovah's approval - ws7/15/2011.

  if this is true, it begs the questions:.

  who is this slave and who are the domestics?

  I could use some help arming myself.

  i know there is going to be a backlash to skipping the memorial and i want to be ready.

  i actually drove by the kingdom hall last evening, just so i could say i came on passover and nobody was there.

  this will initiate a watchtower worship session where they drag out all of their "scholarly" research.

  Am I mistaken or are these stupid mistakes on watchtower.org?

  am i the only one who notices a couple of problems with this?.

  first of all, passover is on 15 nisan, not 14.. the sheep should prove to be sound, a male, a year old, for you.

  you may pick from the young rams or from the goats.
