in the june 2016 issue of cmaj, dr. hebert published an article, survival without transfusion is possible but not recommended for all, that critiques dr. aryeh shander's research study outcomes of protocol-driven care of critically ill severely anemic patients for whom blood transfusion is not an option, published in critical care medicine 2016. .

hector, sir—she shouldn’t be in the front seat with you—she’s unaccustomed to travel—and besides, an awkward turn could injure her.”.
the newly weaned saluki pup had been bred for cal hector by the most reputable kennel in kentucky.he paid cash in new bills and gathered her into his arms; then plopped her into the front seat of his vintage car.. the breeder had wagged his bony finger with disdain as he warned him.. “nonsense—do you think i’ve never owned an animal before?
Rather gruesome Terry. My Son teaches a "weird tales" literature course at college. This would fit right in there I believe. I'll ask him.
i understand it’s a cult.
but what makes an intelligent person actually believe they have the “truth” as taught by jehovah’s witnesses??
?.
I think one must distinguish between stupid and crazy. Let me illustrate...
A man blew a tire on a road beside a psychiatric hospital. As he was putting on the spare a wreckless driver clipped the hubcap in which he had placed all 5 wheel nuts flipping them into the adjacent ditch. After half an hour searching he only came up with one wheel nut. He was absolutely clueless until an inmate of the institution who had seen the whole thing through a window commented.. "Hey, why don't you remove the other hubcaps and take one nut from each wheel, put your spare on and head for the nearest garage?"
Incredulous, the man looked up and blurted out, "You are so smart, what are you doing in there?" The inmate looked down and confided, "Look, I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid".
you have to get baptized even if you were baptized in several other religions so why don’t they require you to remarry your spouse, especially if you were married as a mormon or muslim and had multiple wives.
some countries legally allow polygamy so you couldn’t necessarily just go by the laws of the country right?
these problems probably never come up though because i bet not many flds or muslims become jws.
If there would be some financial or control advantage to the WTS, remarriage would be a must.
a strange story.
chad's diner .
the visitor in the tattered baseball cap blinked painfully in the direction of the sun and winced.
I expected a twist...but this one caught me nonplussed. Well done Terry!
looking for a simple explanation of the ransom from a jws perspective..
Just found this on JW.org
Jesus’ sacrifice is the means by which God delivers, or saves, humankind from sin and death. The Bible refers to the shed blood of Jesus as a ransom price. (Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18, 19) Thus, Jesus said that he came “to give his life a ransom for many.”—Matthew 20:28, King James Version.
The first man, Adam, was created perfect, or without sin. He had the prospect of living forever but lost it by choosing to disobey God. (Genesis 3:17-19) When he had children, he passed on to them the defect of sin. (Romans 5:12) For this reason, the Bible indicates that Adam “sold” himself and his children into slavery to sin and death. (Romans 7:14) Being imperfect, none of them could buy back what Adam lost.—Psalm 49:7, 8.
God felt compassion for Adam’s descendants in their hopeless situation. (John 3:16) However, God’s standard of justice required that he not simply overlook or excuse their sins without a valid basis. (Psalm 89:14; Romans 3:23-26) God loves mankind, so he provided the necessary legal means for their sins to be not only forgiven but also eliminated. (Romans 5:6-8) The ransom is that legal basis.
In the Bible, the term “ransom” involves the following three elements:
It is a payment.—Numbers 3:46, 47.
It brings about a release, or redemption.—Exodus 21:30.
It corresponds to the value of what is paid for, or covers it. *
Consider how these elements apply to the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Payment. The Bible says that Christians were “bought with a price.” (1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23) That price is the blood of Jesus, with which he “bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.”—Revelation 5:8, 9.
Release. Jesus’ sacrifice provides a “release by ransom” from sin.—1 Corinthians 1:30; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:15.
Correspondence. Jesus’ sacrifice corresponds exactly to what Adam lost—one perfect human life. (1 Corinthians 15:21, 22, 45, 46) The Bible says: “Just as through the disobedience of the one man [Adam] many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one person [Jesus Christ] many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19) This explains how the death of one man can pay the ransom for many sinners. In fact, Jesus’ sacrifice is “a corresponding ransom for all” those who take the steps necessary to benefit from it.—1 Timothy 2:5, 6.

Wait Joen...for God so loved the world that he sent his top angel....doesn't move you?

Good scriptures Joen. Add to that
Matthew 12:36 KJV — But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
And to show accountability.... Luke 12looking for a simple explanation of the ransom from a jws perspective..
Nicely explained. Thank you Cofty.
Truthbeknown...OK so that's how they make this distinction....even though it is not biblical since the first promise of a Saviour was made to Eve almost immediately after the pair had sinned.
i realize some here are diehard democrats.
whether you are democrat, republican or independent, do you support any of these looters that cause mayhem and destruction for their cause?
i have heard some people sympathize with these law breakers saying they understand why they do what they do and leave it at that.. of course i wonder how they would feel if their own property was burnt or stolen or destroyed..
I believe the rumors of George's death are greatly exaggerated.
