Would You Like To Be God?
by Ultimate Axiom inwe know there are a few on this forum who think they are, but consider this for a while.
if you are god, you are omniscient, therefore you have nothing to learn.
nothing to research, investigate or explore as there is nothing you don’t already know.

Leading First Amendment scholars intervene in CA loyalty oath case
by Corney inbrianna bolden-hardge, a mother of two, a devout jw and a career california civil servant, sues the office of the state controller which revoked a job offer after she objected to swearing a loyalty oath, even though three other state agencies she worked for "either did not insist on the oath or provided her a religious accommodation to it" (by allowing to submit a clarifying statement).
she sued, and the case was dismissed by a district court.
now it's heard by the ninth circuit.

Geoffrey Jackson- soliciting?
by molybdenum ini listened to geoffrey jackson’s latest talk “assisting our brothers materially “.
jackson presented some arguments, one of which was….jesus did not stop the widow from putting money in the contribution box in the temple.
basically saying regardless of your financial situation you have to donate.

Just how much of a dramatic FLOP is this NEW LIGHT?
by Terry inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1xpxxtqvys.
your opinion, please, on the above video.
1. before jesus, humans were judged either by the law (jews and converts) or by natural law (noahide law).

Thanks Vienne,
I haven't read much about the SDA Church. I know they have built numerous orphanages and are quite evangelical in their missions. Fortunately I have not heard anything about CSA or shunning former members.
E.G. White sounds like a real loser and their millennial doctrine seems totally out of whack and based on a gloss in Revelation 20. Perhaps an SDA member on board here might want to straighten me out on their beliefs.

Hi Vienne,
You said, :"Speculating on something that hasn't happened yet seems unfruitful. And it seems to me at least, that this man, a Seventh-day Adventist, has as much or more to hide from as Jehovah's Witnesses do."
You've got me curious. I see them as legalistic about the ten commandments.... especially regarding the "Sabbath" commandment. But I'm not aware of much else.

I believe Winston read too much into it as well. I think the GB still holds that ones sin debt is paid for by death.
One problem is, who paid the debt for the sins of Armageddon survivors, i.e., the other sheep?
Secondly, since there are only two types of resurrection, the just who have done good and the unjust who have done evil, that means the other sheep who die before Armageddon are identified as evildoers.....which actually makes sense in an undermining way
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. Jn.5:29

Hi GB,
Interesting. Thanks for responding. You certainly raise more questions.
1. When do you believe the leaders of the Watchtower Society first became the Faithful Slave and when and why did they lose their appointment?
2. Who do you believe is the current Slave and when and why was the Slave appointed?
3. Must one identify the new Slave and submit to this Slave's authority to be approved by Jehovah?
Your thoughts...

Maybe someone figured out the old light didn't make sense. Under the old light, best if you killed yourself now before Armageddon so you could be sure to be resurrected. If all 7.8 billion people on the planet would have believed the Watchtower gospel, and drunk the WTS coolaid, virtually all of mankind would have been given a chance at life eternal. Still if you have not committed suicide by Armageddon, your death will count for nothing anyway. Still better die now than later I suppose.
