  i just picked up a few from mark jones as follows:.

  i see is that the vast majority of jws don't seem to understand what their religion actually teaches.. the more controversial or embarrassing doctrine - although still official doctrine that has never been rescinded - is just not talked about anymore in the magazines.

  Some of the things that would trouble me if I were a Jehovah’s Witness would include:

  a. the fact that every teaching that is unique to Jehovah's Witnesses is not in the Bible.

  b. the fact that 99% of Jehovah’s Witnesses today are not saved, justified from all sin, imputed the righteousness of Christ, or access to the New Covenant.

  c. the fact that I could not come to Jesus Christ and share my burdens with him and worship him as the angels in heaven, the wise men and his disciples did and all of creation will do to the glory of God the Father. Rev. 5:11–14

  d. the fact that I would have to shun my adult children if they lost faith in the leadership of the Society and disassociated themselves.

  e. the fact that I would be spreading a false unbiblical gospel that does not save anyone and affiliates people with an organization, but not to Christ.

  Are JW's Sins Forgiven? NO - (Says the Watchtower)

  anyone who has been of this forum in the past few days has seen doubting thomas (an active jw) refuse over and over to provide even one scripture that can show how a jw can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant as described in mt.

  26: 27-28. yet, he claims to believe in the blood covering of jesus while at the same time personally rejecting the new covenant "for forgiveness of sins".

  his contradictory claims are common among jw's.

  I thought the sins of the other sheep were absolved by their own death, not Christ's death on their behalf.

  You can't have it both ways.

  By the way, there is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood..so whose blood was shed for their forgiveness? If you say Christ's, then they are in the New Covenant.

  watchtower view on romans 6: 7 examined .

  the watchtower teaches that the opportunity to be born again and enjoy complete justification with god ended in 1935, having been limited to only 144k since pentecost.

  so, it is very surprising that the watchtower embraces the death that is described in romans chapter 6, since this is the very death that is required to be born again…… which is denied to watchtower members!

  Matthew 12:36 -37 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every idle word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” NIV

  Self-atonement is part and parcel of the Watchtower gospel.

  • Whether to own a pocket calculator is a conscience matter that a Christian should weigh.[3]

  • You should kill yourself rather than have your tonsils out.

  As I said, these teachings have never been rescinded. Therefore, they’re still official doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Crazy, no?

  If the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses were open and honest about what their religion actually teaches you wouldn't have JWs embarrassing themselves by giving contradicting answers which means I have to step in and school them all by showing them their own literature.

  You know, like a cult?
