Physically in mentally agnostic ie sitting on the fence

hi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

Being embarrassed by a JW when you were a JW

i was out on the ministry(tm) in the 1980's when i was pie-on-earring.

i was only a lowly publisher(tm) being coached by a rather odd elder(tm).. one of the publications(tm) had recently mentioned japan and the growth(tm) of jws there.. the elder(tm), brother(tm) i was with offered the magazines(tm) to the householder(tm).. then he stated, 'there are (gave the reported numbers at the time.

i can't remember the number he stated), jehovah's witnesses(tm) in japan.'.

I've met a few of those. One claimed to be 'anointed(tm)', which I now think simply means 'bonkers'.

I think Watchtower agreed with that diagnosis at one point when heaven's gates were still closed in 1935.

Anthony Morris is yesterday’s man. His Career in Jehovah’s Spirit Directed Organization has hit a terminal roadblock, a rock on the road upon which he has stumbled and fallen, and Satan Rejoices…Or so it will be said behind closed doors at Watchtower World headquarters.

Whether this is truly the last we have heard of Anthony Morris remains to be seen. Unconfirmed rumors speak of a possible link to a forthcoming high profile Child Sodomy abuse case nanamingnd implicating him (and by definition the rest of JJehovahFaithfull and Discreet slave calsclasster known by their earthly name as “The Governing Body of Elders”.

it is not beyond the realms of possibility that WTBTS Society Deleted Morris because he is shortly to be indicted by the US Federal court and orders for very punitive and expensive compensation payments against the Watchtower are about to be made

Jehovah does not like getting caught with his trousers down, so he has fired Morris and hopes to ride out the storm by saying he was NOT part of us when convicted.

In short, WTBTS seeks to EVADE Child abuse court compensation payment orders by firing Morris ahead of schedule and saving Millions which instead they have just “conveniently” invested in totally unnecessary office administration complexes in the New York States Oyster bay region.

Mere coincidence? Doubtful but we shall wait and see….

the jws i know (which admittedly are more liberal than most) are suddenly into prepping to one degree or another.

some have simply assembled "go bags" with basic common sense supplies in case they need to bug out in the event of a natural disaster and others seem to be seriously into it, almost to the degree to which mormons are.

Just checked out Blondie's masterpiece and will add this bit I found.

WT 2013 7/15 p.22-23 “When did Jesus appoint the faithful slave over his domestics? To answer that, we need to go back to 1914—the beginning of the harvest season. As we learned earlier, at that time many groups claimed to be Christian. From which group would Jesus select and appoint the faithful slave? That question was answered after he and his Father came and inspected the temple, or spiritual arrangement for worship, from 1914 to the early part of 1919.* (Mal. 3:1) They were pleased with a small band of loyal Bible Students who showed that their heart was with Jehovah and his Word. Of course, they needed some cleansing, but they humbly responded during a brief period of testing and refining. (Mal. 3:2-4) Those faithful Bible Students were true Christian wheat. In 1919, a time of spiritual revival, Jesus selected capable anointed brothers from among them to be the faithful and discreet slave and appointed them over his domestics.”

Interesingly when supposedly 'selected', the 'Bible Students' were teaching that:

‘Sleeping saints’ were resurrected to heaven in 1878
Russell was the ‘faithful and wise servant’
The Great Pyramid of Giza confirms biblical chronology
Christmas should be celebrated
The ‘time of the end’ began in 1799
That Armageddon would happen in 1925 and the gradual general resurrection would be well underway in 1926
The ‘Jews to be restored to their homeland’ is literal
The ‘great company’ (great crowd) has a heavenly hope
Christ’s presence began in 1874
Jesus died on a cross
Jerusalem was destroyed in 606 BCE
Congregation discipline should be determined by the whole congregation
The prohibition on eating blood is only a “suggestion” to gentile Christians
Birthdays should be celebrated
‘This generation’ refers to those alive during 1914

Anthony Moriss nervous breakdowns and Bethel stress!

so karl klien of the governing body gave his life story in the watchtower talking about his stress, nervous breakdowns and pressure to take the lead.

it was aweful.

maybe anthony had the same problem..

Yes, I'm guessing he had a mental breakdown. The booze wasn't as effective anymore masking the cognitive dissonance. Perhaps because he was forced to detox at the threat of disfellowship.

I enjoyed Blondie's presentation about Jesus' accomplishments since 1914.

Satan and his wicked angels were removed from heaven and banished to earth.

After the heavens were cleansed (2) Jesus then resurrect his anointed followers to heaven.

because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. (1 Th 4:16)

This is the first resurrection. (Re 20:6) After rising these anointed followers of Christ would sit on thrones with Jesus (Mt 19:28) assisting him with all the things that Jehovah had assigned him to do.

You will notice that after Satan was cast to earth he “went off to wage war with the remaining ones” (Re 12:17) of God's anointed ones on earth that had not yet been resurrected to heaven.

(3) Jesus next guided these remaining ones toward pure worship and established an earthly organization that would teach pure worship to those all over the earth. (Mt 24:45–47)

Once pure worship was establish in 1931, (4) Jesus’ next assignment was to organize a worldwide preaching work that would need to be completed before God's day of judgment.

And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Mt 24:14)

After the preaching work is complete, (5) Jesus must now create a system of protection for God's people during the great tribulation (Re 7:14) and when the final war of Armageddon comes.

So, then, Jehovah knows how to rescue people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people to be destroyed on the day of judgment, (1 Pet 2:9)
You will not need to fight this battle. Take your position, stand still, and see the salvation of Jehovah in your behalf. (2 Ch 20:17)

At some point before Armegeddon comes the first resurrection will be complete when the “remaining ones” on earth are brought to heaven.

Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord. (1 Th 4:17)

(6) Jesus is also preparing for the second resurrection that will take place after Armegeddon is over.

And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. (Ac 24:15)

And finally (7) Jesus will also have a teaching program in place for these ones who are resurrected. Every person must know that Jehovah is the One true God and Sovereign ruler of the universe. They must also learn that Jesus is our King and Savior.

‘I will put my laws in their mind, and in their hearts I will write them. And I will become their God, and they will become my people. “‘And they will no longer teach each one his fellow citizen and each one his brother, saying: “Know Jehovah!” For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them. (Heb 8:10, 11)

Upon being brought back to life these resurrected ones will need to learn who Jehovah is (Ez 36:23–28), that Jesus is the only means of salvation (Ac 4:12), and the requirements of being a Christian (Jo 17:3, 8, 17, 26).

Blood question re: sample for testing

why can jw's give blood samples for testing in a medical setting?

i was with someone once (non jw related) who was getting multiple tests done and they must have taken a good pint all together in separate vials.

how do jw's square this with their blood policies?

Yes, but it is stored for a time so it can be tested... but isn't that against Jehovah of the Watchtower's will? And how can using blood products derived from immorally stored blood be acceptable?

i am now in my early 60’s.

i was baptized in 1980. i served as a ministerial servant and an elder.

i gave my all for many years but about eight years ago i started to question many things.

Sad to hear that you spent over 30 years serving an unworthy religious organization. Glad you came to realize the truth about "the truth" about 8 years ago... just about the time you discovered this forum. And thank God you have been able to protect your family from similar discouragement and pain.

That's what my Dad did for me as well.
