*shrugs*, I guess I'm just throwing out what I see as a more plausible explanation for the fiasco. In my mind, and you can disagree if you like, if Rick created JTB in order to draw out a real Bethelite, and he suddenly realized that it wasn't working as well as he thought, the last thing he would do is dedicate an entire show to JTB. He would start to downplay JTB. He would let him fade away. But if JTB brings in the ratings (and that matters because it makes him money), then he would push JTB every change he got - heck! Let's give him his own show!

Or he wants something interesting to discuss during the conference calls so that more people DIAL IN and stay on the line, as he is (maybe) getting kick-backs from all the rural telephone access fees charged to the long distance carriers under the Telecommunications Act of 1996.... It's called "traffic pumping" and that's how free conference call companies make their money.

by Witness 007 inthe society once even pictured jesus as clean shaven for many years in it's books.
beards were "sort of" banned.
i don't remember a single brother who had privledges with a beard....anyone else?.

When I lived in the south - no beards allowed on stage. When I lived in the north, and the weather got cold, beards were allowed on stage. Elders still shaved. Several elders had mustaches, however.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that trthskr is after any measure of credibility. Rather, it seems clear to me that his/her goal is to simply plant these threads in order to redirect traffic to these sites. There could be many reasons why... 1) he/she thinks the site does actually "prove" a case for the WTS and therefore wants to redirect any lurking JWs over there so that at least a little damage control could be done. 2) He actually is the author of the sites, and hopes the increased traffic will cause some lurking JWs to click the "Donate" paypal button.
Maybe there are other ends... But credibility, I don't think he/she cares.

amazingly, this seems to make perfect sense with watch tower apologists, who don't stop for a moment to ponder the following:.
you don't need to be a un ngo to use the un libraryif it was so innocent for them to hold un ngo status just to use the library, why did they withdraw their status when the issue received media attention?that aside, we are now witnessing the unravelling of fresh scandals to hit the society, most notably:.

Look at "A Long Job Finished", "A View from the 29th Floor", "Human Rights and Wrongs Today" and "Human Rights for All -- A Worldwide Reality!", pages 3-14, Awake! , November 22, 1998.
This was their published "support" of the UN charter. They knowingly sugar-coated their views of the UN, published them in the Awake! to show their support of the charter of the UN. This wasn't a passing oversight.
