  I know an elder who never does any physical excercise all year (except during Field Circus, which shouldn't count since everyone is now walking at a "pioneer's pace"). During Christmas week, however, he goes for these long walks with his wife in different nearby neighborhoods making sure to walk near all the "inactive" JW's homes...

  I later found out that he does this every year to see if any inactive JWs have put up Christmas decorations or if their kids are playing with new toys outside, etc.. This elder doesn't see anything wrong with doing this as he believes he's doing his part in keeping the congregation clean... really strange character...

  WT Flip-Flops on Jesus’ Inspection… Was it in 1918 or 1919?... Did the WT PASS or FAIL?

  this is utterly ridiculous.... .

  the more i research this particular subject, the more flip-flops i uncover.

  it seems the fds cant even make up their minds regarding what happened in 1918 (or should i say 1919?).

  If you're referring to the book Finished Mystery, page 191 states that the 2 wings of the woman mentioned in Revelation 12:14 are the Old Testament and the New Testament... (that "sack cloth" thing might have been mentioned in another WT publication...)

  Kingdumb maladies stuck in your head...

  i had a dream last night that i went to a meeting.

  the speaker announced we were going to sing the "we're jehovah's witnesses" song, to which i said an audible "dear god" which got a bunch of dirty looks from other people sitting by me.

  so now i'm awake, sipping my coffee, and i have "we're jehovah's witnesses" stuck in my head.

  My brother in law went to the kingdom hall about 3 or 4 times (over 20 years ago as a kid)... His nanny was a JW... he still drives me crazy singing "From House to House"... he does it to try to make me laugh and it used to... now it's just annoying...

  JW Daughter...

  It's nothing really... the book "Finished Mystery" (1917) mentions on page 188 that Michael the Archangel is the Pope...

  What's more significant, though, is that this book is what the JWs were distributing in many countries when Jesus supposedly came down to the earth in 1918 to inspect all religious denominations... but it contains 600 pages of lies, false predictions and completely made-up BS. It even categorically predicted that the destruction of all religions would occur in April 1918... But somehow, JWs are led to believe that this book was "meat in due season"... (see also the DVD that was districuted last year during the District Convention... Faith In Action... this DVD actually praises this book)

  What Is Happening To KH Trustees In UK? Tranfering 'Deeds' To IBSA

  had a phone call with an elder friend this week.. and he mentions that they passed a resolution at their meeting this week which involves changing the legal 'ownership' of the 'deeds' of the kh and transfering it to wts/ibsa in the uk.. this 'new arrangement' comes direct from wt hq apparently.

  he goes on to say how it passed the approval of the congregation and then laughingly said how1 brother was not in favour of the resolution.. he said: "you always get one don't you?

  this was all news to me, as far as i know we have not had this happen here.. what do you guys think?.

  anybody got the full year's worth of awakes for 1967 that they would be willing to share?.

  the 1967 awake set is the only year that i am lacking before 1970. i've seen a partial set floating around, but never the full year though .

  Since the vast majority of elders are NOT sex offenders, the CO's in Australia will probably just demote the pedophile elders and make them lowly publishers to keep them off the government's radar... it'll be viewed as theocratic warfare strategy approved by Jehovah... makes me sick...
