This looks very interesting. I haven't time to read the entire thing right now, so I have downloaded it to my pc, and bookmarked the blog. I will read them both when I can take the time to do a proper job.

A look at Jehovah's Witnesess ethics
by Hobo Ken inthis post is to expose the unethical, un-scriptural actions of the men involved in the "judicial" processes of jehovah's witneses.
the lack of fair minded impartial justice shown to me during my "judicial" case is a result of what they (the elders) are directed to do by the governing body of jehovah's witnesess.
many people have been through similar and will do again in the future, sadly.

Ok, so there is a gap in my reasoning ... but that's a good thing
by Simon ini was going to post a 'welcome' message for all the new people who may have got a computer for christmas and are making their first forray into the online world.. of course, not many jws are going to be getting a computer or much else for christmas right?.
kinda-strange for me to forget about such a big thing like that eh?!
it's pretty good though to have moved on so that the jw indoctrinated mindset isn't the first thing that springs to mind.. hope you're all having a great christmas and wherever you are in the recovery process that you feel a little bit better today than you did yesterday, more free and relaxed than you did last year and looking forward to your new life in 2011.. there's going to be lots of changes coming for this site hopefully in the next week or so and probably continuing over the next year.

Did the GB become the Pope over JWs in 2010?
by moshe inthe governing body slipped this in the wt for jws this past year- well, they have given the jws legal notice as to the vitual power and authority the gb has claimed over their lives.
will jws bend over and accept another "quantitative easing" up their keester from the old gb geezers of bethel?.

Christmas visit from the elders
by MrFreeze inyes the elders made another stop to continue to try to get me back to the meetings.
my main argument with them has been the incorrect dates.
607, 1914. they said i need to stop focusing on dates.

Don't post too often but need some support

last year there was drama surrounding the time and i never really focused on it.
this year is differant and i'm having a hard time with it.

Make Christmas special for yourself. Bake some cookies and eat them in your pajamas while watching Christmas movies on the television!
After Christmas, join some things. Help out at an animal shelter. Join a local theater group (even if you can't act, you can paint scenery). Take a fun course at the local community college like photography! Figure out what you like to do and do it with gusto! You are still young, you have a lot of life and happiness in store for you. Don't look back, just go forward!

How long did it take you to get rid of your WTS library & literature?

been out 15 years now and no wts literature since.. .

I have a HUGE library, tons of old stuff, the Studies in the Scriptures, the Rainbow books, and most all the books from the sixties and seventies. I have a lot of secular commentary, and interlinear translations , word studies, concordances, etc. I am hanging on to it all. Now I am collecting apostate stuff. It's all good. I have a couple of thousand books already in my house, there are bookcases everywhere, so I know I won't be able to throw out books. I just can't do it.
My sister though, she threw them out within two weeks. All of it. When my sister is done with something, she is DONE!!!!

by Amazing inno one really expects 'perfection' of their fellow humans, even of those in high station.
our past president, bill clinton certainly demonstrated that men in high station can and do give into acts that are not accepted by the public at large.
likewise, i doubt anyone expects that joseph rutherford would be perfect, but we would expect that as a human, he had his ways.. what about "true" spiritual leaders?

1928 The Messenger PDF
by cabasilas ininformation on how to download the 1928 messenger in pdf will be given at the bottom of this post.. the messenger was the name given by the watchtower society for an occasional watchtower publication that reviewed conventions for bible students/jehovah's witnesses in the 1920s to 1940s.
there were issues published for (not a complete list) 1928, 1931, 1938 and a couple other years.
(perhaps someone else could give a complete list for us?

Really, how do you decide?
by startingover inover the last 9+years, i have read many discussions between believers and non believers.
each side supports their claims with research which includes links to websites.
my question is, how do you decide what information is really the truth and unbiased?

I am really staying away from the believe/not believe debates if possible. I'm too fragile right now. I am used to thinking in terms of right and wrong and good and bad. (Also, old light and new light!) I need to settle down, and I have already spent too much of my life accountable to those who told me what to think and expected unquestioning obedience.
I don't want to decide. I am not even ready to listen to both sides. Right now, it is enough just to be....
