  why is this list of prohibitions so short?where did this "abstain" list come from?.

  first they decided that circumcision not be prohibited (since it is not on the list).

  I don't think I can. I am afraid that I would stand up sometime during the meeting and projectile vomit the information I've learned to the congregation. I can no longer discuss this in a calm, constructive, discreet way. I am rabid when it comes to disseminating all the new information I have....

  Rutherford said "God does not have an Organization" in WT. Where?

  years ago i was reading in the wt reprints and saw a question from readers after russell died where someone asked if god had an organization as brother psl johnson had been teaching.

  rutherford made clear in his response to the letter that jehovah does not have an organization.

  i can't remember what year it was but i believe it was in 1916, 1917 or so.

  i'm not the biggest fan of depeche mode, but a couple of their albums were actually ok. there's one track by them i've always loved called, "strangelove" from their music for the masses album, and the lyrics remind me of my own thought process at times.

  the lead vocalist sings at one point, "i give in, to sin, because you have to make this life livable.

  looking back on it, i feel that i needed to watch that fight.

  I agree with Viola. Misery, I think that you think too much. Sometimes you need to lead from the heart. Going on a date isn't a DF'ng issue. Have a little fun. It may help you with your decision.

  i see people saying this online.

  my parents made us tell people tha we got gifts throughout the year and that we probably got more presents than kids get on birthdays and christmas.

  however, it was a complete lie.

  I said it, but it was true. I had wonderful clothes and toys. My parents were very generous, and I have done the same with my kids and my grandkids. I have many serious complaints about my childhood and my life, but money and things were something I did have.

  i have posted about my experience with the cult....so now i find myself in a difficult position.

  i have left it alone for many years but i wonder what you guys think.. i faded away from the cult and stopped going for quite a while.

  my older sister took it upon herself to meet with my family and discuss all my sins and actions (they were active).

  when will i taste freedom?

  for all those that have been able to rescue thier loved ones from this religion the feeling of freedom and security must feel incredible no matter what outside influence attacks you it must be easier to fend off with a family united.

  i am not one of those situations and i am always dancing around the truth about the truth with my wife.

  she can turn on the blinders and question me and level blanket statements like" you dont belive in an armageddon" or "your a completely different person than you were a year ago".

  Do You Believe Your Government or Political Party Affiliation Is Righteous?

  i know some that tout their government as being blameless, wonderful, and almost perfect.

  whether you are considered a "liberal" or "conservative", it seems that some are "true believers" in their cause.. personally, i'm disillusioned with politics although i'm always interested and fascinated by ideology and personalities.. i think all governments are unrighteous.

  i think some individuals mean well but the higher in government that you are, the more soiled you become..

  No, the government and/or political party can't be rightous, but they can be well intentioned. They can even be well intentioned and wrong. It's an opinion. You have a basic outlook, that in principle, you agree with. At best, that's all it can be, I think.

  the answer to the second question of this section appearing in the november 15 issue drew many responses and further questionings.

  without being dogmatic, it stated that it seemed scriptural to believe that children executed in jehovahs battle of armageddon would not be resurrected.

  Thank you for the link Black Sheep. Wow, it did say that those killed at Armageddon might come back. Not just kids either! This wasn't changed until 1950!
