New letter being read out in ALL Victorian Congregations about the Working With Children Check, this week. It backs the Organisation that they got it right with their thoughts on who needs to apply as they dont have Sunday Schools or Child Specific Activities. The letter also stated that JW's are NOT volunteers for Watchtower Bible Tract Society!Yet we go from door to door promoting the articles published by WTBTS and Promote what is being said by WTBTS.
A recorded copy will be sent to Mr Unthank and I hope he will put the transcript on his JWnews site.
I also suspect a seperate letter has been sent to all Victorian Elders. With what I posted on Monday (post 1)it appears that Police Minister Peter Ryan has sent Mr Unthank a letter dated last week which was received on Monday. Something is going on behind the scenes? It looks like to me that the Corporation is trying to make each Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses, its own identity and its own responsibility. Therefore trying to make any JW responsible themselves for not complying with the WWC?
I personally know that the mumours and whispers have gone into overdrive atm!
If anyone else is from Victoria, post what you know?
If they are not volunteers of the WTBTS then who are they dedicating themselves to when they get baptized? The question that they have to agree to states "Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization?" Sounds like they are should all be disfellowshipped if they are not volunteers of this organization.

Lets hope they get some more bad press over this aswell.. Shouldn't the elders be CRB checked in the UK also ? Something else to use against the WT here in the UK if this is required by law and they think they can ignore it like in Australia.

This story has got the WT on the run. I don't know how you got this guy to print this but I applaud you. I have also been watching this story become the the biggest thing to damage the WT in a very long time. The JW's don't buy papers like the Sun or Star so they will have read this in the more quality papers like the independant which lots of them read. I will be printing this off and posting it to my jw dad and brother, and I am also going to place a copy under each wiper blade on every car at my local kingdum hall. It's about time the jw's got a taste of their own medicine.

yes apparently the staff at the twin towers on 9/11 didn't notice the explosives strapped to all the beams on each floor......of course a plane fully loaded with jet fuel going so fast it nearly flew through the building {blew out the otherside} would not be enough to cause a collapse.

Aviation fuel will not melt steel, the "weakened by fire" point has been proven, not just in scientific models but also in real world evidence whenever there is a major fire in an office-block that does not result in a collapse.
Large chunks of concrete would still survive. Instead, each floor was almost entirely pulverized to dust long before it hit the ground. That degree of destruction can be explained only by high-explosives.
there are tons of engineers who will look at you and go the fire wasnt hot enough to explain the molten steel pouring out of the side of the building jet fuel alone and office supplies do NOT burn hot enough to do what your saying its been proven....and they are the first steel structure's to actually "collapse" because of fire...please if your so inclined tell me why a building that burned for 18hours straight stayed standing...it must of went threw way more hell Considering it burnt for 18hours over what 54 mins? you say your wife is an architect.....well then even she could tell you she didnt know for a fact it would come down...or the fact she really thought it would since a fire has NEVER taken a steel structure down..... i would love to argue every point of your new found belief but it would be pointless.
actually most of the jet fuel burned off within a few minutes according to FEMA, and NIST didn't find evidence of fire damage over 250C. not surprising since most of the rubble was thrown away and melted down in a few weeks. 80% of the steel was never examined.

the fires (from the planes and office stuff alone) were only half the temp. needed to weaken the steel to failure.
The World Trade Center Construction manager says that the WTC was designed to withstand the impact of a fully loaded 707 (which was the largest plane at the time) and that such an impact would to nothing to the structural integrity of the building.
goes on to say the buildings could actually take multiple planes..
the top floors were weakened as heat rises. the bottom floors were more sturdy and had a much greater mass. the force of gravity was pulling on the upper floors, but the lower floors were providing an equal and opposite reaction much greater than the top floors were generating. truth be told, the top floors shouldn't have fallen at all, but even if they did, they would have been destroyed before they demolished their weight, and the energy would have dissipated, just as newton's third law states.
The fire wasn't hot enough to do the least bit of damage to the 46 verticle steel standing columns that ran through out the height of those buildings. The collapse we see is simply impossible. I said impossible as an ironworker.

when i was still serving as an elder in the late summer of 2006 in a congregation of jws in socal we received a letter from the "christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses" (read: the governing body) directing that anyone pursuing a higher education would be disqualified from privileges of service: elder, servant, pioneer, etc.
i remember this quite distinctly because i had just received by ba in education in june a few months before this.
in 2002, i had decided to pursue a degree under the society's then current "it's a personal decision" policy and was quite shocked at their drastic policy change.
White Dove you are so correct. My cousins all went to university and collage in the UK, but most are unempolyed drop outs or work in KFC..

four months ago i left home after arguing with my pops.

tomorrow i'm gonna go see my 8 year old brother give his first talk.
I think you are brave, but can you explain the falling out with your dad ? I had a similar thing when I tried to question the latest generation change with my dad. We have not spoken or seen each other in over 12 months. Why do you feel the need to go and see 8 year old give his first talk ? You will no doubt bump into your dad won't you ? How old are you ? Kids of 8 don't have to give talks infront of 70/80 people only to have the school overseea tear them to peices after they freeze once on the platform. This kind of child manipulation is child abuse if you ask me. It is not normal for a 8 year old to give talks and teach people 10 times his age.. My advise is don't go to the hall and try to contact your brother covertly without your dad having anything to do with it. Your dad is stubborn just like mine and a stiff neck jo ho company man.. Has he tried to contact you in the 4 four months you have left? If not after this weeks Watchtower he will never call you as anyone who has left is to be shunned and they will never contact you ever unless you go groverling back to the meetings and kiss the elders assssss.
Do not go to the hall you were out for 4 months already, don't let them get back into your head. You can help your brother by showing him that there is a life on the outside.. he is just to young to act in the way you have... you have broke the curse of the JW'S don't go back. Send your dad e-mails and text's to say you are ok but don't be tricked by family into going back.. We have lost all family to the WT but we are free and having a great time. I hope I have done enough to stop you setting foot in a kingdum hall ever again.

my youngest is studying law.
browsing through one of her books i came across a chapter freedom of association.
it covers the well known categories, colour, race, religion, sexuality etc.
What do we do now ? No crime has been commited by the WT mag, so they get to own us exjw's again ? Just burn all the kingdum halls down and they will think the great tribulation has started then we can loot the halls and sell the booty on ebay
