JWs are not charitable

hey guys,.

i'm just venting here because obviously, i can vent to no one else because i am still in the congregation.. jws as a whole do nothing to help the poor, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, though some individual jws do.

because they are too busy giving to the gb.

I'm working with some young ones In the cong to help them wake up. Couple weeks ago I took them on Saturday to do a community beach cleaning instead of service. We had so much fun. Even my super dub wife wants to join next month.

I should them the yearbook that we spend 250 million hours in service. Imagine if just spend one or two million on helping the community. How much we could accomplish.

two years ago I stop donating to the KH. And redirected my 50dlls amount donation a month to Humane society, they send you nice thank you letter and inform you what your donation is doing.

one member of a similar spanish speaking forum has found something quite interesting.. it is quite funny to see that gb members do not really realize how their belongings are really showing them as a fraud.

do you expect to see a gb wearing a 17000 us$ iwatch when answering to a court.

I agree with the Spanish post. Why ask kids to donate two quarters and you don't think about donating 17,000 dollars. Couple weeks back the study watchtower. Talked about brothers and sisters around the world not having enough food. Then you have Mr Jackson wearing Apple watch costing more then many brothers make a year.

Experiences Of Speaking To Another Awake Witness Without Knowing It

this is interesting, i would love to hear of some experiences.

i was speaking with someone offline about their talking to someone and coming to find out that person was waking up/awake too.

the reason i find it interesting, is because it is such a fragile situation, a dance where the two people don't trust each other enough to just speak freely like they are afraid of being turned into the kgb.

I was talking to two just out high school kids in the Congregation. They were telling me that the broadcast has made them question the org. Dint want to go full on apostate on them. I mentioned to research there doubts. It's great to see many wake up.

now this is embarrassing.. after being cold in the truth for many, many years, and getting back some 2 years ago, my wife and i, decided to auxiliary pioneer last year during the memorial campaign.

we were quite impressed that we made the 30 hrs.. last month, we decide to do it again.

after handing in our application forms, and being approved, our service overseer asks me, "how many hours are you going to do?".

Another one decides to leave

well in a month where i had a friend of 20 years tell me "we can't kick it no mo" because i no longer go to meetings, i had an even older friend who is coming to visit me, call me and tell me hes out.. currently a high profile ms who gives talks out all over the place, the elders said they are recommending him for appt to the body in sep when the co is coming through.

but nope......hes about to step down all together.. what did it?

because i am not disfellowshipped, and soft peddle my issues with the org, i was able to speak to him about things like blood, and a couple other things.

pope francis makes catholic bishops who cover up for paedophile priests accountable for first time with new tribunal system.

pope francis has taken a major step towards stamping out paedophilia in the catholic church, approving a new system of tribunals designed to make bishops accountable for the priests under them.the new and unprecedented vatican legal mechanism will hear the cases against bishops accused of covering up paedophile priests who abuse children on their watch.the church has previously faced criticism for failing to hold those in higher positions accountable for what goes on in their bishoprics.the vatican said pope francis was presented with the tribunal proposals by cardinal sean omalley, who he appointed as head of a new sex abuse advisory commission in december 2013.francis and his cardinal advisers approved the plans and allocated funding for full-time personnel to staff the new office.the vatican spokesman, rev federico lombardi, said this means there is now a specific process by which the vatican can deal with bishops who are negligent in handling cases of abuse in their territories.canon law already does provide sanctions for bishops who are negligent in their duties, but the vatican has never been known to mete out punishment for a bishop who covered up for an abuser.previously, the closest francis had come was in april, when he accepted the resignation of a us bishop found to have failed to report a suspected child abuser.
