  Funny story about dumb JW rules

  some years ago (the year when i got baptized), i was at a district convention (or whatever they call them these days) with my best friend.

  he had a part in one of those acting parts at the convention (i have no idea the term jw's use for them in english).

  anyway, we were both seeing through the bullshit of the borg but weren't aware at the time of this forum or other "apostate" groups, nor of the full extent of the perversity of this religion.

  old school witnesses thrived on the fact they were different and persecuted for it.

  it was a point of pride.. i think the whole witness experience is much more social based for younger and newer witnesses.

  that may be why so many newer ones that come to this board cannot understand or accept some of the information we present here about how things "used to be".

  totally agree with the coments made.

  the new GB whants to make it a social club for younger ones making songs like the best life ever and the broadcast makes it feel more young couse, the org had old feel to it.

  How many JWs really believe the end will come "soon"?

  this topic has been on my mind lately.

  i have been looking around at jws and wondering how many truly believe the end is as near as they are told.

  from my personal experience, i know that my parents fully believe the end is imminent and may come any time now.

  old timers they all believe the end is cooming

  My parents feel the same way allways talking about the end and how great the new world will be.

  The younger generation dosent talk about the end, for them is just a social club.

  here we go again... let's study... news report... comment.... who is gog of magog mentioned in the book of ezekiel?.

  for a number of years, our publications have explained that gog of magog is the name given to satan the devil after his ouster from heaven.

  this explanation was based on the fact that the book of revelation identifies satan the devil as the leader of the worldwide attack on gods people.
