i got the worst whuppin of my life when i was oh...around 13 or 14. my grandma gave me a ring. it was white gold. and you know how flimsy that is. it got lost when i went on a day trip with my cousins. i didnt notice it was gone until i got back home. unfortunately, my grandma looked at my hand as soon as i got in the door. i got the monkey shite beat out of me. with my grandfathers leather belt. she whupped me all over the damn house until i was severly shaking and laying in the fetal postion in the corner of my room. after that i seriously began to think that she thought material possessions were more important than me.

got a cool certificate too.

where do i go from here, you say. well, i put in a bunch of resumes for jobs, but until someone calls me, my kids and i will be staying in a "transitions" shelter (yes, its a homeless shelter, but it sounds so much more dignified). we'll be okay. the only thing i worry about is losing my car, but i can work that out.

gene fountaine smelled like old baloney and paint and his wife shirley was totally frigid. they were staying with this old lady and she left them her house after she died; before they were staying in her basement.

did not needing to plan for the future affect your career choices and your consequent wealth?.
i'm not simply talking about following the advice to not take up an education which has been discused many times, but i'm going further to say that those brought up in "the truth" had their whole philosophy moulded and shaped in a way which never searched for more or wanted more; a non-materialistic outlook.. now some may still say materialism is evil, or that being brought up this way leads to a more content life.. the cynics, like myself, will say that keeping people 'happy but poor' is the genius of the rich.. i've had some success after leaving the org, after taking up education and so on, but it has taken time.
