http://news.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2001/12/26/wape26.xml&ssheet=/news/2001/12/26/ixworld.htmlhuman beings were not the first to use recreational drugs.
some apes take stimulants and hallucinogens, sometimes munching roots that now show promise in treating human addicts, say scientists.. prof michael huffman of the primate research institute, kyoto university and don cousins, author of the magnificent gorilla, report in a forthcoming issue of the journal african study monographs that apes may indulge in drugs - from a pick-me-up of the kind found in coffee to hallucinogens.. it seems that apes may use drugs recreationally.
african apes eat the seeds of kola trees which contain caffeine and theobromine and are legendary for their effect in preventing fatigue.
lol... when I was a kid I remember watching a nature show about how animals liked to eat old fruit off the ground to get drunk. The fruit would ferment and produce alcohol.
cool! thanks for the idea, Elsewhere!

we started to "bud" in our blouses at 9 or 10 years .
old only to find that anything that came in contact .
with those tender, blooming buds hurt so bad it .
After that, it was time to raise those angels only to
find that when all that "cute" wears off, the beautiful
little darlings morphed into walking, jabbering, wet,
gooey, snot-blowing, life-sucking little poop machines.
Hey, I've got two of those!
The cute really starts wearing off at about age 2.
The other is this 4-day (more or less) mensus stuff. Cramps, bloating, raging hormones. One flush and it should be done.
I get the Depo. It rocks.

is it just me or is the stock heatsink and fan set up that intel provides with their processors in a retail package a load of crap?.
i managed to break the plastic harness within a few minutes of opening the box just simpy installing the damn thing.
not only that but then the grey bracket popped off the other side and after all that was fixed, the damn thing wouldnt settle on to the cpu!
I agree with you, also. I'm currently taking a pc hardware maintenance class (as part of my degree program). Nearly every heatsink/fan has something wrong with it (fan blade broken, bracket popped off).
Thank my lucky stars all the parts were working with are from older (but not that old) computers anyway, and that I'm taking the basic class. I think in this semester we're just learning how to put a computer together; I may be wrong.

kaykay,The WTS lists by branches. Both Hawaii and Alaska are administered by their own branches rather than the one in NY. The WTS likes to say that secular boundaries do not affect them. For some years the Hawaiian branch administered the affairs of Guam and Micronesia until separate branches were set up there. Branches act as printing and/or shipping points to other countries nearby.
I do wonder how they if when they come up with the grand total of countries if they count Hawaii and Alaska separately...
thanx Blondie

did anyone notice that Alaska was counted as a separate "territory"?
um, the last time I checked, I believe it was a state that's already part of a Country; I believe it was the United States? I dunno, I guess I missed something in school. Or does the WT do this for their own counting purposes?

find one really bad, depressing issue in the world.
take this negative news item and blow it out of proportion.
make it seem like there's no hope (true in some instances).

don't they still talk about strange animals and recipes for international cuisine in the Awake?
It's been 8 years since I left. Maybe I need to get over my disgust for the Dub Pubs and get with the program..

Maybe to use for human experiment.
When the news first came out, they speculated that she was trying to sell the baby on the black market. But when the baby was found and that sick little bitch was caught, they found out she had a miscarriage and was trying to fool everyone into thinking that she had the baby while she was out-of-town. Still trying to figure out how she pulled that off. laters kaykay_mp
