Racial Slurs from the GB

another post that i was on triggered a memory of something that happened in the late 60's???

two members of the gb... in canada were on the platform.they obviously knew each other quite well.

one offered to the other that he was good for a....can't remember the (insult brit type) laugh that was raised but even then i thought it was out of line.

Did you guys know that "gyp" is also a racial slur(against Gypsies and other Romanian folk)--like, "that whore gypped me: she only gave me a hand job, and it wasn't even that good!"

OH NO....!! I gotta have an operation....

well, its like this, for the past 3 years i've had this lump on my index finger of my right hand, hasn't really bothered me, but in the last month it really swelled up and became painful.

i reckon its a ganglion although the doctors are not sure, had it x'ray and the doctor at work says he doesn't think its anything "sinister" ....lol comforting!!.

anyway he says that because of the proximity of it, and it being close to the digital nerve, the surgery might be tricky, i need to be refered to east grinstead hospital, which is a few miles from here, and is a plastic surgery specialist centre in the uk.

Well I have. One problem, though. Everytime I come out of it I start crying/freaking out for no apparent reason. Really, it's true!

Have a nice surgery.

I always loved it when one of the psychos, slightly short of a six pack, (come on every congregation has at least 2) would answer something which you thought at first was going to make sense but just didn't. The answer would take a sharp turn to the right and go onto a completely different track. Good Times. Livened the meeting up a bit.

When I would visity my mom and we would go to her congo (b/c I lived with my grandparents) at the Sunday meeting there would be this little Korean lady--and I'm not trying to be racist here--whose comments would start out the way that you just described, then she would start saying, "and all the peoples and childrens in Jeehova's organization would be happy, and uh..."--just completely lost it after her normal answer--and I'd be like "what ~~the hell~~ just happened?" and my brother and I really cracked up laughing the first time we heard it. and of course we got slapped as usual. laters kaykay_mp
