there is a big insert in the jan kingdom ministry about the family worship night (which has evolved new capital letters - like governing body.).

some helpful suggestions include the head of the household putting an agenda on the fridge door a few days ahead for the family to "build excitement and anticipation" (i kid you not.

) the provision is compared to the sabbath arrangement as a gift from god.

does anyone know if it is common practice for jws to take down or remove photos of dfd or dad family members within their homes?.

if so, is there any basis for this practice within wt literaturetm?

or is it simply a matter of "going beyond the things written" in order to hurt and disrespect the target, and extended family members who have close ties to the target?.

At the least, the Democrats are all out for rights and stuff like that.

I'm not saying that they are the best and all... but I think that we need more acceptance of all sorts of people in the Society.

Might actually hurry the social breakdown of the WTBTS.

Old Songbooks

hi, i usually don't post here a lot but, i spent some time with my aunt and uncle last week.

he's df'ed and she's inactive but still makes some meetings.

we somehow got into how bad some of the new songs are and they both mentioned a few interesting things about the songs back in the 60-80's.

Back then, the songs were actually... shall I say it... good and some were written not by the Society, but by truly talented minds.

If they were to make songs like of those ages, man.... they could really pipe up the mind control.

I just got a call from Staples today. I missed the call, but found out that it's from the hiring manager.

I told the woman who told me that he left for the day to tell him that I'm interested in the job and to call me back tomorrow.

By the way, anyone know anything about working at Staples? (Details plz...?)

I honestly believe that Russell had the best intentions (some room for doubt though).

However no matter how good they were, what has come down to today is an entity that is a powerful entity.

i don't read too much jw material because it's pretty much all the same old rubbish and the constant lies and propaganda drives me nuts.. however, i've noticed a common theme with the 'argument from design' articles.

you know, look at the eye, isn't it complex, evolution is wrong, blah blah.

all the ones i've seen end in a question like "what do you think, is this a product of random chance or design?".
