  Medical Supplies - Please Help Me Understand the Rationale About States Bidding Against Each Other

  i really don't understand why states have to bid against each other for essential items such as medical supplies.

  when you get into bidding wars, the consumers are the ones who lose.. put 50 people in an auction for a product and the one who wins is the manufacturer, not the ones purchasing.. my wife works for a multi-national corporation.

  if she is importing or exporting goods, she doesn't determine what the costs will be; this is already determined through the corporate offices that negotiate worldwide movement of products.

  The story is not false. Trump did eliminate the job of coordinating a national pandemic response. And the strongest evidence of the damage he did is that this job is now being performed by Jared Kushner.

  In May 2018, the top White House official who was focused on pandemic response departed the White House. “The top White House official responsible for leading the U.S. response in the event of a deadly pandemic has left the administration, and the global health security team he oversaw has been disbanded,” reported the Washington Post at the time. Trump and his allies — including then-NSC director John Bolton, who undertook the ill-fated move — have since tried to muddy the waters about these moves, emphasizing the fact that they merely reorganized the National Security Council rather than bluntly firing everybody involved in pandemic response.

  as opposed to blind faith/cognitive dissonance and honest mistakes.. i'm inclined to think they have the best of intentions and are just wrong (primarily because the bible is wrong), but i'm willing to consider the evidence otherwise..

  Yes the Society shows bad intent by encouraging their members to pass up a life saving blood transfusion.

  They killed off two of our closest family members for want of a life saving blood transfusion. Needless deaths abound in the JW world. Abuse of children, lack of education. The JW world is dark and cruel.

  The Society has lied and fought to keep those lies protected.

  AA are you getting a whiff of the Catholic Church, or the Boy Scouts failed excuses for their child sexual abuse problems. The JW's are in good company.

  The ARC found 1006 cases of JW child sexual abuse in Australia attributed directly to the JW's. How many cases were turned over to the police..........not a single case. These children were abused over and over and over again....think about it.

  I feel AA that your on a mission to convince us that the Society and it's JW's are wonderful people.They are not......... they break the law, hide information, and hurt the little children.

  Jesus said "don't hinder the children from coming to me." Does the WT follow that...hell NO!

  Do you think they are doing a good job of any of the basics? Food, Shelter, Respect for not allowing the sexual abuse of the children. No...... the JW's have no faith because it's all made up. The Society decides what you will be compelled to believe each and every year.

  I sense you are bull shitting us with discussions that don't matter at all.

  Slice it and dice it your interests run deep into the WT beliefs............. why try to bullshit us. The Society runs a criminal organization and they are very protective of Jehovah's good name cause that's how the money comes in.

  AA As far as your concerned your sucking on the tit of needless bible ramblings.....trying to provoke a meeting of minds with those who have long abandoned the sickness that a JW has eagerly accepted.

  The Watchtower Society writes with such assurance that it really doesn't matter to it's readers and public speakers what they are saying.

  The WT conclusion is that they and they alone have the truth.....until they realize that they have painted themselves into a corner....once again.

  "Er....... no we never ment that. The crap that we once believed is now being replaced with a better load of crap.

  The Jehovah's Witnesses kill off more of their followers every year then Jim Jones managed to do in one night. Jim Jones was a drug induced criminal who saw death as the way out of this world. So does the Governing Body.

  The Governing body favors death for their followers...for want of a blood transfusion.....over sane medical practices. They are criminals in my opinion.

  With their 'end time' beliefs the JW's are a certifiable death cult. It's all about them being right and looking forward to the death of 8 billion people who are not JW's.....well before their time.

  Eating or drinking blood is separate from a blood transfusion. A blood transfusion is not eating it's a transplant. But like every doctrine the WT has favored they are wrong because they support an answer before any proof is looked at. Being wrong on this scale is deadly.

  According to the Pew Religious Survey .......The divorce rate for JW's is 11% which is the same as most Christian religions.

  The higher educational religion of the JW's is the lowest of those religions surveyed. It's high school and out (pioneering).

  Even the Society sent out a letter calling for volunteers who had a college background.

  WTF!

  67% of JW born-ins stop identifying as JW's compared to 30% of Mormons.

  Being a JW is being in a dead end religion. The hope it offers is building a paradise (the bible never mentions 'Paradise earth') over the bones of Billions of innocent people.

  Like it or not not those Billions are not going to be resurrected......just as we've never heard from Jesus again for over 2000 years.

  AA you need to grow up. Reworking Bible crap is never any good. Go get an education.

  Get some fresh thinking in your life....there is nothing worth while in the bible unless your prone to be anti human.

  family as always instead of being a backbone of support, victim blamed.

  The Kingdom Hall was in the families living room.

  His father dropped the religion and his brothers dropped out of the religion as well. His mother kept the ever changing faith.

  I think it was ironic that an ex JW would become a general and was driven to not only defeat Hitler and his Nazi's who then opened the concentration camps to save as many lives as he and his army could.

  Apparently Jehovah was too busy creating black holes in the solar system and cared not a wit for all of the people who died in the gas chambers.

  A loving god, misnamed Jehovah, has never been supportive of human life.

  My thought....... life is all about being a worth while human not a worshiper of any nasty god.

  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.
