Cedars I think what you are doing could be very productive, even though the GB may well ignore it at least it must make them confront issues to some extent even if that is only having an awareness.

Lady Viola you did put this under humour but there is nothing really funny about it. I appreciate you have an opinion about abortion but anti abortion has little to do with keeping females under control. That concept is simply in the minds of those that are finding some excuse to promote the idea that abortion is acceptable. It is a very weak woman that stoops to these levels or whining to uphold their views. There are much better, even more logical reasons that give abortion some credible reason to examine the issue but that is not one of them.
Isn't the biblical example that you quote in regards to where a man accidentaley causes an abortion? Even still, although he may not have been put to death there was a punishment involved.

Credit Card Donation terminals are currently being installed in JWs Assembly Halls...
by AndersonsInfo ini received the following email from a former jw that i thought to share.
note: i retyped the boe letter that was sent from the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses to all congregations in the us.
the letter is authentic.

Steve2 another point is that they are taking credit from individuals and this raises some moral issues.
- This is money that they have not earned from their own efforts at the time of donating.
- The JWs then have to pay it back. Vunerable or overly enthusiastic dubs may put themselves into difficulties
- The org is becoming a party to the very thing that is ruining our society - debt
- double standards are being set in warning dubs about debt but then accepting it as a form of payment

"And they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the Temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the Temple, and He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons; and He would not allow any one to carry anything through the Temple. And He taught, and said to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers." (Mark 11:15-17 RSV)

Delineating the shameful story of the Jehovah's Witnesses failed apocalypse saga
by mankkeli inone of the most firmly established new religious movements which bases its mission on apocalyptic predictions is jehovahs witnesses.
jehovahs witnesses believe that we are living in a harvest period, the end days of the present world, and should dramatically change our lives accordingly.. the movement can be traced to the 1830s, when a baptist leader named william miller announced that the bible is full of secret numerical clues.
according to his interpretation of scriptural passages, he wrote of his prediction that christ would return to earth some time between march 21, 1843 and march 21, 1844. an estimated 100,000 people accepted his message and formed an informal network to anticipate the second coming, often leaving their mainstream christain churches in the process.

What years did the JWs (Russell and Ruderford) teach that the end would come? It sounds like you are saying that they predicted no dates for the GT.
As for 1914 and your comment "The Witnesses knew that 1914 would be a significant year, and be a turning point of somekind, they just did not know WHAT EXACTLY would happen that year, some did "think" they would be called to heaven but we do know what happened in 1914 don't we, even those who are not witnesses know, historians call 1914 a turning point in history". Does that mean they went around simply saying the 1914 was going to be a significant year - end of story or is there more to it than that? Didn't many leave after 1914 and 1925 because they felt they had been mislead? So how did that occur and what were they being mislead by?

Critique of the October 1 Watchtower article"When Was Ancient Jerusalem Destroyed?"
by Doug Mason inmy critique of the october 1, 2011 watchtower article "when was ancient jerusalem destroyed?
http://www.jwstudies.com/critique_of_when_was_ancient_jerusalem_destroyed.pdf .
i am looking forward to hearing of correction or omissions.. please note that this is a large file (almost 7 meg) which takes a while to download and a while to format in a web browser.. the design of the critique allows a single major topic to be individually printed, so that those pages may be handed to an apologist for the watchtower society.

EXCLUSIVE NEW LIGHT! How to calculate the length of the overlapping generations - SCRIPTURALLY!
by agonus inok, so the one scripture that supports the "overlapping generations" doctrine is the one about joseph having brothers, right?.
well, then, logically, if that scripture buttresses the glorious new light - and we know how long that "generation" was - we should be able to calculate the date for armageddon, no?.
allowing for a maximum period starting with the year of the birth of the eldest brother (reuben if i'm not mistaken), and ending with the year of the death of the youngest (benjamin, correct?

School for Congregation Elders
by C.O.B.E.Beef ini attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

Brothers , if the slave asks you to do something that seems wrong in Jehovahs eyes, and you obey, how does that leave you with Jehovah? That’s right, your good with Jehovah. The slave will account to Jehovah for their decis
To be guided by an organisation is one thing but to submit ourselves to them before God's laws is not. Jesus taught that we are all accountable for our actions and instructed us to keep examining and putting things to the test, this is our personal obligation. To follow and obey the FD&S blindly is not in the bible.
If we break 'Publishers' down further we get this hierarchy
Father
Mother
Son or Daughter
Do they teach that if a wife was to be submissive to her husband in everything that she would be good with Jehovah? No they don't, they say to follow God's law first, above those of the husband where they conflict.
