There are some puzzlying things about this story. If Steven reported the alleged rapes to police in August,2011 then what have the police done about it since? That is quite some time ago if a serious crimes have been committed.
Why would Steven Unthank be the one to report these alleged rapes and not the parents and are the parents prepared to back up the claims?

according to initial reports,... the body of elders were strictly ordered by the watchtower bible and tract society of australia to cover-up the multiple rapes of a number of children within the traralgon congregation allegedly committed by a fellow member of the jehovah's witness religion.
This is shocking, those poor, poor children.

Just a thought Azazel - with the change of meaning for 'generation' they have extended the time for Armageddon by many years, if not indefinately. It is now more difficult for them to point out the urgency of Armageddon. Of course 'the time left is reduced', it is in fact nearly 2,000 years closer than when Jesus was on the earth.
1st evidence: the release of loyal jews from exile, made possible by the fall of babylon, foreshadowed the release in 1919 of anointed christians from spiritual exile.

It would be helpful if you stated where you were quoting from and the year it was published.
This article states that the two witnesses were killed because of their prophesying and that was in fulfillment of the scriptures. Yet the org says they do not prophesy and anyone who makes prohecies and they do not come true are false and their words are not from God.
i was not "born in".. i was recruited.. i've told the story dozens of times.. it began as a "best friend" at school comraderie and ended with my baptism 4 or 5 years later.. i had no desire up front to join any church or attend any services or even to associate myself with people who talk about "god" and "faith".. it creeped me out.. my family was not sociable.
they were like hermits.. my grandmother had been reared catholic and had attended convent school.
she told horror stories about the stern, disciplinarian mother superior and corporal punishments by the nuns.. i had the bible read to me barely at all.
It's as if they don't want to acknowledge any one individual as anointed. In the January magazine they talk about the earthly anointed being part of the royal priesthood but not as individuals being priests. The anointed form part of the body of christ. The F&DS is a group that acts as one but no individual acts alone.
why i left jehovahs witnesses.
they can be painful to bear, but sometimes that is part of life in a setting with many people and their various personalities.. it was my examination of evidence that did lead me to leave jehovahs witnesses.
they, of course, had failed to bear proper witness to his name.
That was a very moving read SD-7. In particular I found this enlightening

That is so true, when reading the literature one is taught what they must think rather than it it coming from the heart.

It so catches the essence of what the organisation is about.
What is helpful from this article is that Camping set a date and they have used the terms prophecy and predicted. The bible warns us against those that do this.
i'm sure by now you are all aware of the feb 15th, 2012 study edition of the watchtower, and its outrageous experience depicting domestic violence.. as you may know, i have been looking into the matter in some detail.
i decided to contact the uk domestic abuse charity "refuge".
they indicated their concern towards the article and offered to help in any way they could.
Roski makes a very good point with

From the examples I've read in the WT magazines they often refer to the abuse of the women because of her beliefs as the focus for the abuse. Yet it is so true that the abuse occurs regardless of what a wife does or doesn't do.
It also makes me angry that the org does not deal with the issues properly. They are in a position where they should be sheperding a person and not an 'institution'. They are in an opportune position to be able to help a woman. One of the biggest hurdles for the victim is to be able to talk to another person about the problem. This is could be for various reasons, including the husband threatening to hurt her if she speaks to anyone else about the abuse. The elders are an ideal confidant for the victim as they are able to keep her problem private and also would not approach the unbelieving mate. Yet they once again show their lack of wisdom and understanding. So when a woman has got over this first hurdle all they are provided with is the advise presented in the latest magazine.

I do appreciate that you may not have enough time or resources to answer all questions, especially if you feel they are too trivial and have already been answered in your insightful words.
Could you advise whether a christian should be bathing in water? I am particularly concerned in regards to this matter due to my upcoming baptism.
since my thread asking for advice exploded into a conversation about whether or not it is legal to give advice about legal matters, i figured i'd repost my craziness here and update.. my lovely girlfriend accidentally blew up the kitchen while sauteeing chicken in hot oil.
by blew up, i mean she accidentally set the stove and wall on fire.
it was pretty crazy, we had three fire trucks and an ambulance there.
Ask her for reciepts. Determine who did the cleaning and ask why you weren't given the opportunity to do it. I don't know how you think the depreciation for loss of value is reasonable. If the insurance company did their job properly the kitchen would be as new and in better shape than before and that would increase it's value.
Have a look at your lease agreement and see if you agreed to being held responsible for accidents.
The landlady is wacko and she sounds like she is just being threatening when she says she will not go through insurance, the wheels have been in motion and it is probably to late for her to change the arrangement. Taking everyone on the lease to court sounds very strange when there was only one person that caused this.
