On this forum many expressed their horror and sadness in regards to the incident but somehow the JWs stand above us all. They don't need any comforting but instead they will to provide it to others.

Even funnier is that you are teaching old light. The Governing Body changed their interpretation of the Faithfull & Discreet Slave at the latest Annual Meeting. You can find it on the official jw site, there's even a video.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

That's an interesting comment that your sister made and I am glad that she is personally aware of this because whether she chooses to stay or leave if she can identify these problems then she is not devoted to the GB and is unlikely to follow their lead in all things.
The March 2012 study Watchtower is making an attempt to deal with internal wrongdoing. They tend to explain it away as just misunderstandings. This is from the study article titled "For those loving Jehovah there is no stumblying block
...For example,he recognizes that what seems to be an injustice to us may be a misinterpretation or a misunderstanding on our part. Jesus will handle congregation needs perfectly and at the right time. Thus, we should not allow the actions or decisions of any fellow Christian to become stumbling blocks to us.."
The logic in the article is so typically bad.
The organization just tries to push things under the carpet and pretend that injustices are not real but even though they are not real Jesus will deal with the problems at some unspecified time and in some unspecified way. Which simply means that the org. has no intention of dealing with these problems themselves.

by cedars inlast year i did a review of 2011 for the forum.
this was more of a review that focussed on some of the awful stuff that was printed in the literature that year - the first year of my awakening.. 2012 has been more interesting from the point of view of things actually happening outside the literature.
i thought it might be nice to take a look back and put some of these events in chronological order.... .

I've only just started watching Louis' shows, he presents them very well.
I saw the show and was shocked at how the kids are indoctrinated and made to join in the protesting, I'm glad to hear that two of them are out. The parents did not care that they were putting them in danger

You make a very valid point SD 7. Meetings form an important part of their worship and they allow disfellowshipped ones to participate with them in this sacred activity. Of course they would never ban Df'd ones from attending the hall due to legal issues and their status as a religion.
