Is saying "I don't want to be a Jehovah's Witness anymore" enough?

i was just wondering.

say you were baptised and stopped going to the meetings, when the elders and people ask why can you just say you don't want to be a jw anymore without giving a reason?

i mean it's not like they can force it out of you and you aren't necessarily spreading lies or whatever they say apostates do.. if anything they'll have to keep talking to you to find an actual reason to df you so if you're literally as vague as possible then what basis do they have?

If you are trying to keep things simole then don't say 'I don't want to be a JW anymore'. It is too shocking for a lot of JWs and they will want to dig further. It would be better to say that you don't want to attend the meetings anymore and go out in field service.

Suggestion for title of final Final Talk from GB

ok, so it's right before the big a.. gb are just about to depart heavenward but not before leaving us something to remember them by.. so after several rounds of rock, paper, scissors one of them goes up to the podium, adjusts his tie, clears his throat and says....... .

"so long, and thanks for all the fish".

now anyone familiar with hitch hikers guide to the galaxy would know that was.

I am amazed that the elders are not insulted and humiliated by the GB who think that they need to be taught their way of dealing with these matters. Don't these elders have a brain?

Thanks for the additional information Old Goat. A couple of weeks ago I looked further into information about Russell available on the internet, including numerous court cases. Along with that and the treatment of his seperated wife and why they seperated paints a different picture of the man.

It sounds like the third book will be more interesting.

I wonder if they will be discussing the many law cases that Russell was involved in as well as his finances and various business structures such as the United States Investment Co Ltd. Along with his avoidance of paying his seperated wife maintenance, a lot can be learnt about Russell from these things.
