TV.JW.ORG (September 2015) - Generation explained again
by Designer Stubble inguess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend.
david spane does his best to explain it again.
the cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that fred franz died.

"suppose there was a man who died 10 minutes before joseph was born.
would he be part of joseph's generation?

That is what he is saying Marvster which makes his interpretation of Ex 1:6 screwed up. He is defining it in minute detail whereas the scripture is just referring to him and his brothers being in that generation. -

Splane makes special mention that Franz was baptized in 1913 so in 1914 he qualified to be considered as one of the anointed that discerned the times of the end and therefore part of the first group. Back in 1914 up to about 1935 all those baptized were considered to be anointed. I think he is making the point that those of the second group would be considered to be of that group, not when they were born or even baptized but at the time they considered themselves anointed and before the death of the last anointed person in the first group.
This wouldn't be so bad if they were just speculating once again.. It would be easy to excuse their speculation on the basis that they are just trying to maintain an urgency amongst the sheep so that they remain on the watch. But they are not merely speculating. They claim that this teaching is what Jesus meant when he said 'this generation'. Splane also lists a number of men who were and are anointed, he doesn't say that these people 'claim' to be of the anointed but states it as fact.

Oubliette's chart is more accurate because he has the second group starting just after 1914 whereas Splane's chart has this second group starting around 1935, as indicated by the red shaded area. They can't even get their own chart right. -

JW Elder Lawsuit Update: AAWA Fliers are Illegal and Uncle claims he is "Going to Kill us in Court"!
by ReligionOfHatred inhi, my uncle made the first move by taking my mom, dad, grandma and grandpa(all in good jws in standing and non have put out anti-jw fliers or speech), that's who he is taking to court.
i have left the organization but than again, i was only a unbaptized publisher.
my grandma (whom i love so dearly was shocked to learn "i am not going to marry a pioneer and i don't want anything to do with any pro-jw females, i feel this religion is one of the most hateful religions mankind has seen).

Rather than focusing on whether putting up the signs is illegal or not you should focus on what you would gain out of doing this. Is it out of retaliation? Do you expect positive results?
These problems have been going on for a long time and the issues are getting worse, not better which probably means that it is not being handled properly. It probably never will be and if that is the case you need to be more concerned about how you and your family can best come out of this with the least damage.
It might mean losing money or a sense of justice not being done. These are things that many good people in this world lose out on. What you don't want to happen is that you or your family become so absorbed in this that you become bitter and depressed.
There are times when 'turning the other cheek', although difficult, is the best course. Don't sink to their level.

Yes it does matter and when all is said and done the women have the upper hand as they can't be held responsible for all the laws, procedures and being leaders in the JW religion.
It is the JW men who have claimed that they are Ambassadors for Christ and they are head of the God's only chanel of communication, as well as being Guardians of Doctrine.
Fortunately for them, God is forgiving if only they seek this.

My guess is Harold Corkern, helper from the Publishing Committee. He was a Co Host on the August 2015 JW TV monthly program. He's served in Bethel for more than 33 years. In 2012 he was a member of the US Branch Committee. He was also President of the Kingdom Support Services Inc (2000)
My other guess would be Mark Noumair He co hosted on the Dec 2014 JW TV monthly program and presented as helper from the Teaching Committee. Apparently he worked at the Kenyan Bethal in the mid 80s as a missionary. He is a Gillead Instructor and he is mentioned a lot in JW publications.
It is because these guys have been privileged with Co Hosting on a Monthly TV program that I base my guess on. I can't think of a more prominent position other than presenting one of these programs as the Host.

The elderly sisters are at it again.
by John Aquila inawhile back, about a year and a half ago, when i was starting to wake up, i explained to my mom that when the circuit overseer is in town, they schedule shepherding calls after lunch, not because they care, but because they dont want to work door to door in the hot summer or cold winter.
and they know that a prepared call means some nice hot chocolate and cookies or some ice cold tea and snacks.
i remember her looking at me kind of funny so i ended the conversation and left it at that, and never brought it up again.

The sisters are able to contribute money and time in FS but there is little else for them to be involved in, certainly no congregational matters. The best they can hope for is to provide flowers or the finery at memorials. It's no wonder that this lack of participation in the congregation 'family' has to have its drawbacks as these sisters become older. Surely many become disengaged and disinterested and at a time when they have much that they can share after so many years of service.
