Tribulation, Hardship and Jehovah: Will He Manifest Himself?

what are the expectations of jws regarding future tribulation and "the church"?

do they expect that at some point yahweh will manifest himself to the faithful and discreet slave to bring about the temporal salvation of his people?

and if a member of the gb claimed to hear from jehovah in some way, like an angel, light or voice, how would the general membership react to the news?

They stated this in the article that God will give them instructions during the GT, although they don't say how they can't already be included in the Bible because they would already know these instructions (or before the GT) as they specifically say they will be given them during the GT.

Sorry but I am having trouble with the quotations and this is an edit to say that the second quote is about the scrolls of Revelation being opened after Armageddon with instructions. It seems a bit of a contradiction that they say he will give them instructions during the GT but after the GT, they will be in scrolls.

Hide yourself for a brief moment until the wrath has passed by.” (Isa. 26:20) At that crucial time, Jehovah will give us lifesaving instructions, and the “inner rooms” might well be connected with our local congregations.

Likewise, the Bible informs us thatscrolls will be opened to give us directions in new world living. (Read Revelation 20:12.) These scrolls will most likely set forth Jehovah’s requirements for mankind at that time. By studying these, all people, including resurrected ones, will be able to know God’s will for them. These scrolls will surely give us further insight into Jehovah’s mind. Guided by an ever-increasing understanding of God’s inspired Word along with what will be revealed in the new scrolls, inhabitants of the earthly Paradise will certainly treat their fellow man with love, respect, and dignity. (Isa. 26:9)

Then there is this very interesting article from the Watchtower 07 01/01 where they are telling us that they know someone is communicating with them but they don't know who.

It seems that resurrected ones of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communicating of divine truths today. Why is that important? My old congregation is gone

went to the hall today as i was the designated driver for my parents.

an elder who was in our old congregation in the city gave the talk.

i've had a little chat with him and apparently our old congo is gone.

If they think the scripture in Isaiah applies then it specifically says to hide yourselves and yet they profess to be waiting on Jehovah to advise them where to hide. How is it, all of a sudden, that Jehovah will be communicating with them at this time but doesn't do so now?

They can't help but speculate and make things up, being far from discreet and going beyond what the Bible states.

Yes Smiddy, his talk also contradicts the bunker video. He says they've got it all figured out and there's no need to have a shelter then a year later they show the video with the JWs huddled up in a basement-bunker. There was also the magazine picture of the same thing.

WT "Study" for 4th September 2016 - “Seek the Kingdom, Not Things”

i’m sitting there in the kingdom hall just thinking how rich it is of the gbojw to preach about materialism when they have recently been evidenced to be using bro’s & sis’ contributions to the world wide work to travel business class!

just that thought alone was leading me to read scripture while they were all engaged in the wt “study”.. however, then it came to paragraph 17 and i blurted / choked a little.

the paragraph said that “we should not imitate the people of ‘the nations,’ who have no real faith in a loving heavenly father who cares for those who put the interests of his kingdom first in their life.”.

Bethel workers are required to put in full time hours, if not more. This should be the first place where they reduce their physical work load to allow them more time to spend in the witnessing work. Then next are those in the construction work.

He believes he is guaranteed of God's protection but teach that the other sheep (personally) are not and yet still tells them that being fit, having a survival plan/safe place or a supply of food and water is not necessary. It's no wonder Kevin had ideas of his own.

He claims that they don't have bomb shelters, they are only safe places in case of a storm. However, he calls Armageddon a storm.

meeting with elders about WT involvement in UN

i still go to the meetings because of my in wife and it came about that the elders knew of my pissed off attitude about the society getting involved in the un.

so the elders said they could help me get over that and wanted to meet with me.

now just to let you know, i have only told my wife and her mom so far about it, that's it.

Write a letter to HQ and tell the Elders that you would like to see their reply on the matter before discussing it with them. It will take months.

Ask them why there is a need for more than one Elder to meet with you to help you with the matter and ask if it can't simply be resolved by them pointing you to something on the JW org official website. Act perplexed that the issue is being taken to such an extreme point, especially considering that you have only casually discussed it with your family.
