He came across a very disturbing instruction directed towards teenagers on the JW website. It's under the heading of 'Teenagers Ask: How to Avoid Pornography'. There is a recommendation to make the following solemn promise -I will talk to a mature friend if I have a relapse
At best, why doesn't it say to talk to your parents or a 'spiritually strong' close friend. It's telling the child to talk to someone older, as in mature. It's just wrong to make this suggestion.
Even later under the same topic, the following suggestion is madeTalk to someone. Choosing a confidant is often an important step in breaking the habit.—Proverbs 17:17.
No suggestions are made as to who that 'confidant' should be other than the earlier statement about talking to a 'mature friend'. -

It seems that a fair number of posters have misunderstood my comment posted after the OP, with 5 dislikes (but 2 likes). It's good to see the comments written in response. My initial comment was
Dunedain, I hear you loud and clear.
If the organization wants to accuse ex Jws of hate speech then let them site your comments as an example and see what sort of sympathy that incites.I was commenting from the POV of the organisation. I did not personally call it hate speech. They accuse much of what ex JWs say as being hate speech and I could see them accusing what Dunedin said as being hate speech also but I was pointing out that if they did, then they would be wrong, it would be impossible to garner any sympathy because there was too much truth in Dunedain's words that explains the damage they cause.
I'll try to be a bit more careful in the way I express myself in the future and apologize if I upset anyone.

John Davis, suing the Watchtower may not achieve anything, the Government allows them too much freedom, a terrible evil and injustice in itself.
This does not mean that the Watchtower is not responsible because it is along with each member on the Governing Body. What a heavy load they carry.

JWs biggest problem is not doctrinal issues
by Chook init's biggest problems are associated with its lack of genuine love and concern for the rank& file.
the average person doesn't need a food critic to tell them their hamburger is shit, in the same manner the average person can discern kindness and love.
gbs fake love and concern is evident in the way head office deals with victims of sexual abuse by jw clergy.

The JWs have an artificial love. It's easily seen when the GB sign off on their letters expressing their love for all yet they have no idea who most of these JWs are. Another example is the adulation shown to convention delegates, again they are JWs who are unknown to each other.

This is what the November 2017 Watchtower states
Beginning in the late 19th century,The WatchTower drew attention to the prophetic significance of the cities of refuge. “This feature of the typical Mosaic law strongly foreshadowed the refuge which the sinner may find in Christ,” stated the September1,1895, issue.“Seeking refuge in him by faith, there is protection.”
A century later,The Watchtower identified the antitypical city of refuge as “God’s provision for protecting us from death for violating his commandment about the sanctity of blood.” However, the March15 ,2015, issue of The Watchtower explained why our recent publications seldom mention prophetic types and antitypes: “Where the Scriptures teach that an individual, an event, or an object is typical of something else, we accept it as such. Otherwise, we ought to be reluctant to assign an antitypical application to a certain person or account if there is no specific Scriptural basis for doing so.” Because the Scriptures are silent regarding any antitypical significance of the cities of refuge, this article and the next one emphasize instead the lessons Christians can learn from this arrangement.
It is highly unlikely that any JW would get the significance of this 'new light'. Very few JWs would know that Rutherford used the Old Testament "Cities of Refuge" arrangement to support his Other Sheep theory in 1934 and 1935. However, it is highly likely that the writers of this statement knew exactly the significance of what they were saying. After all, they researched to as far back as 1895.
It took Meleti, a very talented writer and researcher of Beroean Pickets, a great deal of effort to work out what scriptures, if any, the organization used to base it's 'other sheep' teaching on. He searched 2,233 occurrences of the 'other sheep' within the Watchtower library dating back to 1950 and the search didn't stop there. The only basis for the claim that Meleti could find was this silly interpretation by Rutherford. -

Making Every Thought Captive To Christ(Washing the Brain Of Good Reasoning)
by Brokeback Watchtower innot a very good idea to say the least.
when i read paul's words the more i see how delusional the guy was.
he was a genuine religious fanatic who contradicts jesus words on the sermon on the mount.. 2 corinthians 10:5 5we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of god, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to christ.. delusional and in need of some serious psychological help.
