  by victoria arnold, forum 18. with no public announcement, russia's justice ministry lodged a suit at the supreme court today (15 march) to declare the jehovah's witness administrative centre "extremist", to liquidate it, and to ban its activity.

  if successful, this would ban all jehovah's witness activity across russia.. russia's justice ministry has submitted a suit to the supreme court to declare the administrative centre of jehovah's witnesses an "extremist" organisation, order it liquidated, and ban its activity.

  Here's a JW Youtube about a two day Russian Convention that took place after the ban was imposed. They had over 2,400 in attendance and about 41 were baptized - in the local water hole. Those shown getting baptized looked mostly young or old.
  
  The Convention was held under the watchful eye of the Authorities situated in a white van and It was located on a Brother's own property and in the open air.
  
  The irony of this is that it shows it is possible to hold these assemblies without the need for costly assembly halls.

  he says armageddon is not a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid hitting the earth it's god's war against all the political nations of the earth.

  he talks about a celestial phenomenon that will be phenomenal.

  There is a public talk given by tight pants Tony on Youtube titled "The Real Armageddon, Why, When"
  
  His talk, as usual, doesn't make much sense. He says Armageddon is not a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid hitting the earth It's God's war against all the political nations of the earth. He talks about a celestial phenomenon that will be phenomenal.
  
  However, the sneaky little mouse has gone ahead and done something that he specifically says the Government Body members don't do. He's shared something with the audience that was not in print and still is not in print to this day.
  
  Towards the end he states that the Great Tribulation will be like a cyclone, it's going to hit Christendom followed by the rest of false religion then a little bit of calm and they'll be coming after us.
  
  At 45.00 he says "Jehovah's Witnesses will be the only ones ready for it. We are organized. We will go underground just like that and they're coming our way, that's when Jehovah steps in."
  
  In order to go underground 'just like that' would require money and assets that cannot be identified to the Watchtower. It would also require a lot of planning and organization now, due to their belief that they think Armageddon is imminent. Since they have to do all this in secret, it's going to take a lot of detective work to uncover their activities.

  I think the talk is fairly old, he doesn't mention a Watchtower any later than 2003 and mentions the Twin Towers.

  according to the official figures in this post 2 years ago - https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/217902/uk-congregations-jehovahs-witnesses?page=4 - the scottish congregations had a combined total of just over £1.845m in their bank accounts.

  i wonder how much of that money was siphoned off by the org when their "recommendation" to congregations to hand over their surplus cash was issued.

  isn't it tragic that all that money would barely cover the court's fine of $4000 per day which the cult has amassed so far in the padron case.

  and we are setting off this morning for 3 nights in eden nsw i think it has more to offer than the one in genesis.. with a bit { or a lot } of luck we will make our fortune .

  Apparently the giving of "judgement messages" is not a theoretical scenario

  i remember when the (in)famous "bunker videos" were releases there was some non-witness exposure on a few sites and most of them commenting on how scary and very culty it sounded and all the idiotic wt apologist were quick to point out that it was "only theoretical", "it's possible it could happen like that" and other assorted flavors of steer manure.. well apparently not so because i just sat through the upcoming convention videos, and review footage of the last assembly, watch the last two months worth of "meetings" (*vomit*) and studied up on all the recent new wt releases and all the talk being throwing around now is all on some gog of magog this, judgement messages this, judgement messages that, "we're about to get persecuted!!!

  ; some of us are going to die; the nations are about to turn against us even in developed countries; blah blah blah.

  even the recorded baptismal talk i heard from the last assembly had a speaker that was telling the suckers....er...i mean the baptismal candidates to be willing and expect possible death, and to a good number of young preteen people i may add (outrageous!!!).

  the wife told me "no valentine's gifts this year, too many holidays".

  it didn't say how he or his wife became witnesses, but;;;;;; he is a doctor, was invited to be a doc for the wt, sold out his home (at loss ((i bety)), moved, but you can be sure he didn't get a room at bethel.

  It's an interview with the Schiller family. They were married Sept. 16, 1972 and have 6 children. They were doing substitute circuit work early on when there were five children and he doesn't think the kids knew what they were doing. In 1989 they were pioneering and had the opportunity to help out at Bethel a week or two at a time. When Paterson was being established they made themselves available to work there, utilizing his services as a Doctor. The response that came back was how quickly were they able to sell their house and move up there. So they moved and sold their house at a loss. He says they learnt pretty quickly not to turn down any privileges, even though they had six kids, the oldest was 17 at the time.
  
  They got to thinking that other parents require their kids to go to college, so they required their kids to pioneer for a year. All of them kept pioneering and supported themselves with jobs like cleaning, lumber yards and roofing. None of them have a complicated life that holds them down. Their kids keep in contact and they made their own decisions, since it is God that owns their children. The point being, don't turn down opportunities
  
  I wonder if these parents also chose marriage mates for their children as it seems that they were brought up in a highly controlling family. Maybe he had been also and was made to go to college but found relief in his highly demanding career by devoting himself to the JWs.

  - has the latest version of the elder book (recent) a new text about child abuse and put aside the 2 witness rule in these cases?.

  I think that there may have been a letter to say that any accusations should be thoroughly investigated regardless of their being two witnesses but it did not say that a JC should be held if there was not two witnesses or a confession. I can't remember where I saw this.

  the may 2018 watchtower is now out and thought i would make a few observations.in this article we get a story about gb sam herd.

  the recurring theme throughout is the struggles he has had as a black man.he was born in 1935 in a one roomed log cabin in liberty indiana.

  his mother raised him in the baptist church.

  Of all the tales he could tell he relates two experiences of using public toilet facilities, neither of which were of any consequence at all. I think this was an attempt to express the racism that he has had to deal with.
  
  

  I remember one time when we stopped at a gas station. After filling up the tank of our car, I asked the attendant if Gloria could use the restroom. He just glared at me and said, “It’s locked.”

  
  Really? There are numerous reasons why they don't want you using their restroom and many of them will lock it. We've been refused on the odd occasion and we haven't been to one for over twenty years simply because they border on being rude when you ask. It used to be law that they had to make it available and they didn't like it.
  
  Maybe they thought his wife was too butch looking with her male looking haircut, or it was the way he asked on behalf of his wife, why didn't she ask? But to relate this as an experience, I think, he is having a lend of his readers and the Watchtower for allowing him to relate it.

  I went to use the men’s restroom, and I noticed that a very rough-looking character, tattooed like a white supremacist, got up and followed me. But a white brother, far larger than either me or the rough-looking customer, came in after us. “Is everything all right, Brother Herd?” he asked me.   He states that the guy was tattooed like a 'white supremacist'. Surely you don't stop and relieve yourself if you think your life is in danger. You don't go into a public toilet without assessing your surroundings. There is always a risk whether your male, female, black, white, young or old. Cleanliness is an issue all of its own but safety is paramount.
  

  Maybe it would be more appropriate if he was to remind himself of what they have done in relation to the protection of children and what they plan to do.
  
  He uses a great portion of his life story discussing color but doesn't actually mention what his ethnic origin is.
  
  Another comment which is amusing and makes me wonder if he is having a lend of everyone is the way he describes his wife as being like the 'Hope Diamond'. This is hilarious when you look at what the hope diamond is and represents.
