It's unclear that only the JWs were targeted if the cars were spread over a few streets and there was something stolen out of one of the cars.

Babies Who Are Not Dead From An Abortion
by minimus ina woman gets an abortion.
the baby is supposed to die because of the abortion but doesn’t.
should that living baby be put to death or should the baby be given medical help to survive?.

I would never choose to have an abortion. I had a miscarriage at 3 months and it was heart breaking, I realised then that having an abortion would be agonising.

I think No Zombie is on the money with this
Its not that hard to imagine this to occur, if it is linked to the unique publisher id number system, said to be in development.
The unique publisher id is in development and was announced at an internal meeting which was leaked. I think they said that not all JWs would require an id but whether they just meant inactive JWs would not be on the system was not specified.
Individuals could log into their own number or have someone assist them. There would be no need for paper publisher cards but I can't see that reporting hours would go, it would make it much easier for the organization. They would probably link it to their email and could remind publishers when they haven't reported.
They are very slow for such a fast moving organization to get this in place. -

7 Jehovah’s Witnesses Brutally Tortured in Russia

Corney - The "laws" violated by Witnesses are injust and unconstitutional. Would you blame those who break "laws" criminalizing "sodomy" or "apostasy" and those who support them?
Regardless of whether they are unjust or not, they are Russian laws that the JWs broke and continue to break.Legal actions certainly will benefit the actual and potential victims, including every JW and every Russian (torture is a common method of investigation there).
It's horrific that they use torture as a common method of investigation. As to how much legal action by the Watchtower Society will help or will make the Russian Government retaliate further is to be seen. -

The fact is that it is highly unlikely that they would do either of those things. It's had several years to take action.
The Watchtower will do what it wants and often doesn't give a damn about the consequences or deliberately stirs up trouble. They have already done this in regards to Russia.
They flooded their public mail system with letters, getting JWs to send more than one per person and in their own language. They made them put their own names on those letters.
Only recently they made it publically known that they considered Russia to be the King of the North and to add further insult they said they prayed about this, as if to suggest it was their God who approved of this announcement.
They have Sanderson discuss issues regarding Russia who not only has a cheesy smile but comes across as delighted by what's been going on.
They are happy for JWs in Russia to be breaking the law. There is no requirement in the bible for them to be holding meetings in their homes and they continue to do so. No doubt there are other laws that they are breaking. They don't mention what charge the two detained JW's were placed under. They are going to be charged if they are caught breaking the law and they are being closely watched.
They have just said that they will pursue every legal avenue possible. Why did they announce this? It wasn't for their own benefit, it was to warn Russia. This would only make the Russian Government more angry and that only causes more misery for the JWs in Russia.

"We have never lost a case against apostates. They never won even a motion. And so you see the line that Jehovah has apparently drawn: That the wicked or evil slave will not be able to beat the faithful slave to that degree. Because even though there have been hundreds of these motions and cases brought; not one has prevailed.” Brumley
That was an interesting claim made by a JW lawyer and Elder in 1991.
So what if they haven't lost a case against 'apostates', it has not in the least prevented ttatt from spreading.

Therefore, we will pursue all available legal remedies, both domestic and international, for this crime.
Ultimately, we know that Jehovah has seen the persecution of our brothers in Russia and will act as their ‘helper and rescuer.’—Psalm 70:5.https://www.jw.org/en/news/jw/region/russia/Jehovahs-Witnesses-Tortured-in-Surgut-Russia/
JW org has posted a news item about the incident. Their response is interesting. They intend to fight this legally. So much for claiming to operate according to bible principles when there is no precedent for doing this in the bible.
They are leaving it up to God to be their 'helper and rescuer'. No mention is made how they intend to give them financial aid or assistance to get JWs out of Russia.
Matthew 10:23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.

The Governing Body should be doing all it can to prevent this from happening. Instead, they get millions to troll the Russian Government by inundating them with letters written in languages that they can't even read. Then they announce Russia as being the King of the North, announcing it as not being their own decision but having done so by invoking God through prayer.
I can see the big smile of satisfaction on Sandersons face.

What did you do to celebrate Smiddy?
My husband and I just give each other small gifts, other than doing something nice like going out for tea or making a special meal.
We find it easier to spoil each other throughout the year when we see something that we really like or want to do (like a holiday).
Next month is our 30th so we'll do something a bit more special. The kids are doing something for us and we will stay at a top hotel in a club room with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails included.

Watchtower Trolleys With Added Bling
by cofty inmy wife and i were in edinburgh on saturday (did a ghost tour) and around dusk we passed two trolleys on the high street — aka 'the royal mile' — that both had two rows of led lights under the little shelves.
has anybody else seen this or is it a local innovation?
i'm happy to report their pimped-up trolleys were attracting no attention as usual.

John.prestor, they sure love their coffee. It's a wonder that they don't have pull out cup holders on their trolleys, better yet, they could have a coffee machine added. A coffee grinder would go a long way to bring attention to themselves with all that racket going on.
