It is a very reliable place to refer JWs to and that is why you will often see it in posters from activists.

jwfacts.com Have you looked at it?
by blondie ini use this extensively rather than re-inventing the wheel.. paul grundy, the admin, keeps it up-to-date and welcomes any corrections or new information, especially in a well-written article, supported by wt publication quotes.. the 2 places i check first is www.jwfacts.com and then searching on jwn with key word(s) to see if the topic has been already extensively researched or commented on.. don't be frightened away by the material being more than 3 paragraphs.
the quotes from wt publications is are extensive and from publications that are older and less available.
i find it good to read many posts on a single topic and expand my knowledge and sources.. blondie.

There is a Caleb and Sophia video where the scroll work on Sophia's bedhead has 666 at the top and bottom. She's got a new bed in her latest video and it is much more plain.
There are a few other strange things in some of these videos which are odd, including the green monsters in the lounge room.
There is also the video where Satan is tempting Jesus to throw himself off and one scene shows him doing this.

Sorry to hear this Zeb, you are in a loveless marriage. So much for this years convention that is supposedly about love.
She did notice them but chose not to say anything. That's more than rude. -

A question for Aussies about NBN and streaming / network dropout problems.
by smiddy3 inhas any fellow australians here had problems with the internet dropping out either with their computers or streaming devices on the tv`s etc.. since the nbn took over we have had nothing but trouble with interruption of services on the tv and computer.. i would say it drops out at least 10 times or more in any one day.. it`s a bloody pain in the ass.. a technician came out the other day and supposedly fixed the problem that they knew about by the way (why didn`t they do something about it then instead of waiting for me to make a complaint ?).
the technician went away saying he had fixed the problem ,but lo and behold within a couple of hours we still had the same problems that have continued over this weekend.. i`m just curious if any other australians are having similar problems as i have outlined..

Our suburb is now NBN ready and I had a bloke from Telstra on the phone the other day trying to persuade me to connect. I said I had heard of so many problems. He told me that we would be guaranteed priority for the first month after joining, of having a technician to look after any problems. I thought he's basically confirming that there is a lot of issues if they have this sort of guarantee in place and only for the first 30 days.
I think we'll wait.

Rockemsockem, it's a long video, so I was wondering if you could mention a few of the comments he was making that you think are wrong, so that we can discuss them?

That's what I read on a JW forum, that is the amount of international guests that has been approved.
JWs from Western Australia have not been invited and they will have their own assembly at their assembly hall. -

Oh how this religion has changed! Would this have been permitted 20 years ago??
by stuckinarut2 inhttps://m.facebook.com/100002613343180/posts/2271710659592690?sfns=mo.
would the old-timers even recognise this religion anymore?.
this is from one of the international conventions held this year.

Such a weird religion. It's not permissable to play kingdom melodies live at the Kingdom Hall or the Assembly but if they're entertaining those in 'high standing' at either of these places, its fine to play live worldly music and dance to it.

I missundertood what John Redwood said, he wasn't asking victims the contact him, instead he is telling them to contact the appropriate authority.
I don't think anyone would like their name being posted online with instructions for anyone who has been abused by him or her to go to the authorities.

"Are natural disasters a sign of the times?" -- Yes, says WT
by FatFreek 2005 inyes, bible prophecies suggest that there would be disasters during “the conclusion of the system of things,” or “the last days.” (matthew 24:3; 2 timothy 3:1) for example, concerning our time, jesus said: “there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.” (matthew 24:7).
that from their website this morning.. i see how they've morphed (by interpretation) food shortages and earthquakes into virtually all bad happenings today.. i'll bet if the "blue bonnet" (one elder's fractured pronunciation of bubonic during a public talk, using it not once but three times) plague, one of which happened nearly 700 years ago -- was going on today, it would be a sign of the times.
after all, it "caused the death of 60% of the population of europe".. no natural devastation like that seen since..

Remember when we lodged in private homes at conventions?
by FatFreek 2005 ini bring this up now because i haven't seen any postings about that practice because i got out in 1977. when did wt quit soliciting private homes for accomodations?
or have they stopped?.
i hated it, but it was the only way we could afford to go.

In the early 70s they held a large Convention in the middle of nowhere. It took us over 5 hours from Melbourne to get there. It was in a little town called Wagga Wagga.
We stayed on a farm and there was no electricity.
No doubt they got the grounds really cheap.
