okay sorry, just a few more things that grabbed me in this issue:.

the magazine starts with an article dedicated to the 100th anniversary of that all important year on which the gb's authority hangs, 1919. the article ends with several rapid fire assertions:.

by the end of 1919, jehovah’s peoplewere reorganized and energized.

We also need to avoid such organizations as youth
camps or recreational facilities that have ties to false re-
ligion.

Somehow that excludes charity shops and hospitals run by churches.

the october 2019 study edition, speaking of the last days after the governments destroy all religion except jws:.

at some point, the people whose re-ligions were destroyed may resent thefact that jehovah’s witnesses keep prac-ticing their religion.

we can only imag-ine the uproar that this might create, in-cluding on social media.

It is a worry. Even more so when they elevate the importance of their own words to that of the Bible itself.

GB member Kenneth Cook finally gave his first monthly broadcast, after nearly a year and a half. Watching him, it's understandable why it's taken so long and he's still not ready.

This is what he said

"Do not go beyond the things that are written" This refers primarily to the things written in God's word. (1 Cor.) By extension, the principle also applies to the scriptural direction that we receive from our publications. When asked for advise, we would never want to impose our own opinion or simply give an answer of the top of our head. Rather, we want to direct our attention to the counsel found in the Bible and Bible based publications."

what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.

since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.

Too bad for the safety of others if a church needs some urgent electrical, plumbing or structural work and the only builders, plumbers or electricians in town are JWs.

You dare not risk having your photo taken and published in the local paper for helping out in some disaster.

Don't forget the Helpers to the Governing Body can be of the other sheep. So they are probably being "groomed" to take over the leadership once there are no more GB left. 😒

True and this appears to be a carrot the GB is holding out to them as well as giving them more importance.

But in so doing the GB have appointed them into a position that doesn't exist in the bible and they are also claiming that they will provide God given direction suggesting it will be something beyond their current knowledge.

There's also a picture in this magazine of Jesus coming with the Angels and 144,000 to destroy the wicked policemen who are about to shoot at the JWs. The JWs are all dressed in meeting clothes.

iwantoutnow, yes, absolutely but this is the garbage they are feeding their followers.

The same Watchtower also states that they are now living in the last of the 'last days' and they know that for sure because they are now further away from 1914 than ever.

Whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the Governing Body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of Armageddon. This infers the idea that you better do what they say, or else.

They are also making some predictions here. Firstly, that the JW Organization will remain 'organised' at all times and also that they will have in place a leadership without the GB.

They are stating that non anointed JWs will be dispensing God given direction in the future. How is this even possible, according to their own doctrines, since the FDS will no longer exist? Logic says that the FDS isn't needed after all. And who's going to appoint these new leaders? There is no biblical precedent for that either.

There isn't one scripture to back up the claim about survival being dependent upon these men but I guess since they are telling this to their followers now, they expect them to be obedient in this. If this were real then how are JWs to know who to follow if the GB aren't there?

What is puzzlying about this article is that it is not written from the GB or any anointed person because it is written from the angle of the writer being an 'other sheep'.

14 During the great tribulation, a change will take place regarding the brothers who take the lead on earth. At some point, all anointed ones who are still on earth will be gathered to heaven to share in the war of Armageddon. (Matt. 24:31; Rev. 2:26, 27) This means that the Governing Body will no longer

be with us on earth. However, the great crowd will remain organized. Capable brothers from among the other sheep will take the lead. We will need to show our loyalty by supporting these brothers and by following their God-given direction. Our survival will depend on it!

Apparently this was one of the largest ex JW gatherings, if not the largest. I don't know if that can be confirmed.

I think it was the Cetners that used to arrange large gatherings of ex JWs, Rick Feron would attend, he could probably confirm the sorts of numbers they would get.

Solzhenitsyn, there is a private Facebook group for Australian and New Zealand ex JWs where it was discussed. It was also mentioned, on occasion, on the ex JW reddit forum.
