The indoctrinating was bad enough years ago when there were just books and magazines. I can't imagine what it is like for JWs these days with all these emotional videeos being shown.

can someone explain what is happening with this issue, please?i read online that gb is trying to coverup or defend themselves and their organization... like what happened?
isn't this horrible thing happening in all of the religions over the world...for example catholic church has got multiple scandals...but i just don't get it.

Ashley Colllins - Of course child abusers are not true jws, because I think those would never do this
If that were the case then they wouldn't need their Judicial Committees. But they have plenty of JCs. They also have a system that they will forgive a JW of their serious sin, including child abuse, if they think they are repentant.
All JWs sin, some worse than others. -

You seem very confused. On the one hand you say child abuse is a problem in every religion and on my he other hand you say child abusers are not JWs. So which on is it, the first or the second?

It looks like the Watchtower's defence is that JWs can do what they want and they are just upholding bible principles. It's interesting because that it how the Government works. A citizen has the ability to do whatever they want but the Government establishes laws and imposes punishment on those breaking the law.

Leveltheplayingfield, that's not what the Watchtower was looking for. They are careful about things not backfiring like that. At least it brings home the fact that it is a real problem within the congregation and parents need to be careful as to whom they can trust.

Thank you Blondie for your examination of this article and for all your efforts in helping to expose their bad practices.
They demonstrate that protecting the organization is the number one priority. If sanctifying Gods name was the priority then they would be putting the children's interest first, out of love.

the message says to call back asap and that he loves me, but he said it like "i love ya, girl" he never has said that to me like that.
so, i call back and he says i have been a hard person to get a hold of and that confused me because i had not received any calls from him.

I'm curious. You said that it's not the local Brothers that provide this aid so it must be from Indian Brothers living overseas, who also happen to have enough to spare not only to their local congregations but to the Indian Branch. So their money is supporting the Branch and the relief work as well. I can't see their money extending out that far. If that were the case then the organization must be rolling in cash.
