Thnaks 3 Mozzies.
It's a very puzzlying article especially when the Tettragrammaton doesn't look the Hebrew symbol for YHWH.
Could it be possible that instead of printing interpretations of prophecies they are now doing it throught their artwork?
well, this is an information from a certain forum (2ch) in japan.. according to that information, apparently, that is in the article of "awake!, july 2010. p.21".
in that article (awake!
july 2010), the tetragrammaton (yhwh) is drawn in the triangle.. but when looking carefully, a part of those hebrew is different.. .

I don't have access to that Awake article and am wondering what it is about and why they have put in a picture of a triangle?
if jehovahs witnesses are false-prophets, who can we look to as a prophet(s)?.
http://www.watchtower21.org/2011/01/what-is-false-prophet.html.
a false prophet as described in the old testament under the mosaic law covenant:.
Pirata said More than a few Christian groups thoroughout history have tried to guess what a prophecy means, make up a "second fulfillment", or try to make it fit modern day events (an occurence among different Christian religions it seems, I remember a Christian studen''ts report in high school applying a prophecy in Isaiah where "arrows" were a prophesy of "rockets" in the Middle East conflicts.). In regards to the Watchtower Society, it seems that that after the 1975 incident, and with the change that the governing body must decide on any new or changes in official teachings, that we will not see any individuals guesses/predictions allowed to make it into official teachings. The organization now seems to be following the advice given that same year.:
I am wondering whether guessing or interpreting a prophecy could lead someone to be labelled a false prophet? One of the gifts that God gave his followers was the ability to interpret dreams, one of these persons (I think) was Daniel. His interpretations were 100% correct because he was inspired by God. As the JWs claim they are not inspired their interpretations would not be 100% correct. What they do do is claim they are speaking the truth and their current teachings must be believed and only their interpretation is right (until new light reveals otherwise).
Even though they claim they do not prophecy (fortell a future event) they make many interpretations of prophecy. They do not allow individual opinions or discussion of different views even when based on bible texts. They proclaim themselves as being right and don't qualify their interpretations as many bible scholars would. Surely at best they should be qualifying themselves by stating - this is our current view based on 'such and such' however 'this' should also be considered and although 'this' is being taught at the moment we are not dogmatic on this interpretation, we may gain deeper insight as we reflect and consider other facts, the bible and other viewpoints. In many cases they do not do this and expect their followers to accept interpretations as the truth and promote it to all others as such.
how about this image as a billboard during convention week, at one of the venues?.
no other commentary.
people would be uncomfortable.... .
The '1914' cover stirs more emotion, especially because most of those guys would not be alive and brings home the message stronger.
i'll give some background information before i introduce myself.
i faded from the organization three and a half years ago.
i have no family members who are jws and haven't thought about this religion at all over the past three and half years.
Foodalls don't you think learning another language may be helpful or do the aliens only speak english?
i have been lurking for a couple of months and decided to join because i wanted to get further information.. i am not a jw, ex jw, or even considering becoming a jw.
i am a fairly devout, practicing catholic.
two weeks ago, a couple of jw publishers stopped by to discuss their schtick.
Darth they will tell you that just as Jesus was a perfect human being, Adam and Eve were created perfect too. They had the prospect of living forever if they did not eat the fruit from the forbidden tree. Because they did they became imperfect and death was the end result. Due to the sacrifice Jesus made man will one day be able to reach perfection once again and this will be on paradise earth.
hey i was wondering if anyone has the answers for this weeks km part do you know your options.
questions are-.
what is the main reason why jehovah witnesses refuse blood tranfusions .
Have they addressed the problem of being in a country that is not so sophisticated with medical treatment? There would be many third world countries where alternatives would not be possible, so how do they address that for JWs living their or on holidays?
I have this great conspiracy theory about bacon. I've done plenty of research, over 20 years worth. What got me interested was a lecture my Economics teacher gave. She said there was much more to bacon than we really know, or at least what the average person knows. What's really exciting us the changes that will occur in the next year or two, it will affect is all and you would be so excited if you also knew the whole story. Not many people know about it but the technology behind the changes has slowly been developed. You would know that for a number of years now you can buy 'alternatives' to bacon, its made from other stuff which isn't pork, have you ever wondered why and how this came about? There's plenty of evidence about all this but most of us don't know where to look.

i know that the failed predictions of amageddon for 1914, 1918, 1925, during wwii, and 1975 have been well documented here and other places, but are there any [documented] 'prophesies' that actually came true?.
dc.
According to them - The Trumpet calls of Revelation which were a series of conventions in the 1920s. Jesus' return in 1914 and inspection. The FDS which was a parable turned into a prophecy. The ousting of Satan from heaven. The immediate transportation of anointed upon death to heaven. we are now living in the times of the end (with all its associated signs such as food shortages, earthquakes and war), the finanlized sealing of the anointed in 1935 (and then not), the great crowd/other sheep commencing around 1935, the falling of Babylon the Great in 1919, the good news has been preached in all the inhabited earth (some wtbs acticles say this has been fulfilled whilst others say it is still being fulfilled) and all the nations have been gathered for the war at Armageddon.
No wonder 1914 is such an important year as all these prophecies have come true from then onwards.
