Another Lie/Revisionist History in todays WT study!!

i caught yet another revisionist history deception in todays wt lesson.. .

here is a quote from paragraph 4 of the 2/15/13 study edition.

"decades before 1914, jehovah's worshippers declared to the nations that the end of "the appointed times of the nations" would come in that year and that the world would enter into an unequaled period of trouble.".

Good on you Sahs for making that comment at the Watchtower study, no doubt it went over a many people's heads.

"I find really strange that the GB presents the understanding of the start of the 'Great Tribulation' being a future event as "new light", when the "old light" it supposedly replaces has alreaby been abandoned for well over 40 years and the understanding of the start of the "Great Tribulation" as a future event has been around for decades already."

It is strange and makes reading their articles all the more difficult. It has to be deliberate and it is probably to stop the flow of free thought. I think they've done a similar thing with the idea of when the bible is talking about Christ's presence as opposed to his coming.

How is a JW able to understand the 'deeper spiritual things' if they've got to go back over old teachings and work out how the new changes differ and on what basis.

"The GB has now expanded the "domestics" to include the "great crowd" class. This further diminishes any uniqueness of those claiming to be of the anointed (those who plan to rule earth from the government in heaven). This is the only mention of the "great crowd" in this magazine. They do not appear in the diagrams at pages 4-5 or 10-11. "

The moving of the other sheep from being identified as part of Christ's belongings to now being part of the domestics within the household is a big change but you've pointed out that they only mention them once in this article. It would seem that they are going to make future changes in their understanding here as well.

That is an unfair judgement His Excellency. Higher education is not the be all and end all in qualifying someone to take on a leadership position.

I've seen many educated people display egotism, selfish ambition and arrogance and all the more so because they feel their higher education gives them the right to act that way.]

You're not doing much good for the cause Tylinbrando. You're really going over the top and I for one don't like extremism.

Just in your last post alone you say -

....watch them march onto the battle field..." Really, all your board members are not just talented but they are extremely talented. But they're all 'out there and recognizable', you'll find that a team this does not make, rather ego's and personal ambition will get in the way. Yep with extremism like this I'll do as you suggest - "Why not grab your popcorn to sit back and watch the show?"

The New Diary of Winston Smith

we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Numbers, stats, reports and forms seems to have overshadowed their real responsibilities. Maybe their heart isn't really in it anymore.
