This must mean that they are not doing it right. They should be gathering as a whole family, grandparents, their children including their partners and all their children. It would make quite a gathering within some families, enough for a bible study group.

Looking for a certain Watchtower Magazine
by truthlover1991 ini don't know if this is the right place to put this topic, so feel free to correct me.
i'm looking for the watchtower magazine (in any format, pdf, scan, etc) from april 1st, 1979. the one which talks about how jesus is not the mediator for all mankind.
i know it might be an elusive magazine to get ahold of, but if any of you reading this have a vast watchtower magazine library, would you consider helping out a fellow?

Is Jesus the “mediator” only for anointed Christians?
The term “mediator” occurs just six times in the Christian Greek Scriptures and Scripturally is always used regarding a formal covenant.
Moses was the “mediator” of the Law covenant made between God and the nation of Israel. (Gal. 3:19, 20) Christ, though, is the “mediator of a new covenant” between Jehovah and spiritual Israel, the “Israel of God” that will serve as kings and priests in heaven with Jesus. (Heb. 8:6; 9:15; 12:24; Gal. 6:16) At a time when God was selecting those to be taken into that new covenant, the apostle Paul wrote that Christ was the “one mediator between God and men.” (1 Tim. 2:5) Reasonably Paul was here using the word “mediator” in the same way he did the other five times, which occurred before the writing of 1 Timothy 2:5, referring to those then being taken into the new covenant for which Christ is “mediator.” So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the “mediator” only for anointed Christians.
The new covenant will terminate with the glorification of the remnant who are today in that covenant mediated by Christ. The “great crowd” of “other sheep” that is forming today is not in that new covenant. However, by their associating with the “little flock” of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant. During the millennium Jesus Christ will be their king, high priest and judge. For more detailed information, see Aid to Bible Understanding, pages 1129 and 1130 under “Mediator”; also God’s “Eternal Purpose” Now Triumphing for Man’s Good, page 160, paragraph 10; also The Watchtower issues of February 15, 1966, pages 105 through 123; November 15, 1972, pages 685 and 686, under the subheading “Leading the Way to a New Covenant”; and April 1, 1973, pages 198 and 199, under the subheading “The New Covenant.”
ADCMS is right, they don't care. I have had several JWs come to the door and they do not know this. One JW said she would look into this and return with the answer. She initially thought I had been making up the idea. She returned with a two page printout from their CD Rom and read the whole article to me. The funny thing is, she read out the scripture that states Jesus is the mediator for all men and then proceeded to read out the printout which waffled on about how he was not. They just don't see it and once the WTBTS has put something in writing they will believe that above what the bible says.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

YouTube... the best place to awaken JWs
by Calebs Airplane init's clear that dubs in general eventually forget to heed the counsel of the wt as regards viewing spiritually "dangerous" material on the internet.
this is evident by the thousands of uploaded videos of assemblies, conventions, caleb videos, kh weddings, kingdom melodies, etc.
that can be found on youtube and other similar sites.

Thanks for the prompting Calebs A. There are a number of videos presented by the JWs themselves. I made a few comments on one a couple of weeks ago and just recieved a reply, much to my surprise as I thought that my comments would be deleted. I wasn't going to reply as I thought it was a waste of time until I read your post.
A lot of the JW video's have the comments disabled which doesn't say much for themselves but rather tends to substantiate the idea that they are a cult.

My chat with 2 Dubs yesterday about UN membership
by jookbeard ini live close to a resonanbly busy street, 20 odd shops banks, a train station,a couple of cafes and coffee shops etc and usually see dubs doing street work close to the station and i'm now on nodding terms with an elder who is out most days of the week and have got close to recognizing most of the hard core of about a dozen of them , i was walking out of the cafe yesterday to be greeted by a couple of newbies i'd never seen before , a scruffy short dumpy man and a fairly well presented middle aged lady, i'll try and abridge the conversation as best as i can, we must have chatted for about 15 minutes and it was all in a good mannered style;.
me " have you sold many of those this morning ?".
jw guy " oh no we dont sell them we give them away for free" (like i didn't know that).

Justlookingfornow, I should have known that you're not bored at topix but I do believe you are those posters I mentioned. Your talk can be as tricky/sneaky as the organizations at times.
Let's have a look at that letter the organization wrote. It's by some section called the Chariman's Committee, whoever they are but anyway part of it states
"Still, the criteria for Association of NGO's - at least in their latest version - contain language that we cannot subscribe to. When we realized this, we immediately withdrew our registration. We are grateful that this matter was brought to our attention."
They seem to be acknowledging that it was not just the latest version of the criteria that they could not subscribe to, so what other 'versions' could they not subscribe to? What part of the criteria could they not subscribe to and why? How did they realize that they could not subscribe to certain criteria? When exactly did they realize they could not subscribe to certain criteria? They do point out that they only realized it immediately before they withdrew their registration but it in no way explains how they came to that realization other than the fact that their association was publicly announced in the paper. Therefore was it only then that they did some research of their own paperwork and hadn't read it with proper understanding prior to this?
Are they prepared to make available the paperwork they have or had, including the forms they completed, on this matter even to questioning JWs?

That is purely an assumption that you and other's conclude. It is not what the org said and you are trying to draw to much out of their very short public statement.
The fact is the org are saying very little about their association.
