In a nutshell they are now saying that
(Ezekial) Gog of Magog refers to a coalition of nations and will be destroyed at Armageddon
(Revelation) Gog and Magog those who rebel against Jehovah and will be destroyed at the end of the 1,000 year reign.
here we go again... let's study... news report... comment.... who is gog of magog mentioned in the book of ezekiel?.
for a number of years, our publications have explained that gog of magog is the name given to satan the devil after his ouster from heaven.
this explanation was based on the fact that the book of revelation identifies satan the devil as the leader of the worldwide attack on gods people.
In a nutshell they are now saying that
(Ezekial) Gog of Magog refers to a coalition of nations and will be destroyed at Armageddon
(Revelation) Gog and Magog those who rebel against Jehovah and will be destroyed at the end of the 1,000 year reign.
we all know that jws think that the world hates them and take it as a badge of honor.
like all their beliefs they don't just come up with these ideas on their own, they come from indoctrination through the jw publications.. here's what they are being taught in their may 2015 watchtower magazine.
<<17 pride, materialism, and sexual immorality are just three weapons at satans disposal.
We all know that JWs think that the world hates them and take it as a badge of honor. Like all their beliefs they don't just come up with these ideas on their own, they come from indoctrination through the JW publications.
Here's what they are being taught in their May 2015 Watchtower magazine
<<17 Pride, materialism, and sexual immorality are just three weapons at Satan’s disposal. There are many more. For example, some Christians face opposition from family members, ridicule
from schoolmates, or even restrictions on their preaching work from governmental
authorities. Such hardships do not surprise us, for Jesus warned his followers:
“You will be hated by all people on account of my name, but the one who has endured to the end will be saved.”
—Matt. 10:22.>>
They are saying that opposition from family members, ridicule from schoolmates and government restrictions from authorities are all demonstrations of people hating JWs. This is such a blatant lie, oh wait, some of it is possibly true, school kids that tease a JW kid because he doesn't have a birthday party is doing so because he hates him, not because he knows that he definitely won't be invited..
These are just terrible things to be teaching others. Their thought that other people hate them because of normal human behaviour is typical of this cult. The non JW husband or wife who doesn't want their JW spouse spending more time in the field service or is told not to donate so much at the Kingdom Hall, or the JW child who is getting teased by the other children because her dress uniform is too long and it goes on and on, these are all behaviours that the JW is taught that demonstrate hatred towards them.
So on this list of people that hate JWs are non JW family members, which could include brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters simply on the basis that they disagree with and actively attempt to prevent them in doing some particular JW service. It also includes anyone at school who may tease a JW child. Fancy telling your young child that kids at school are teasing you because they hate you.
Whoever wrote and authorized this article needs their head examined.
so any scuttle-butt on the wherefores and why's of the disappearance of song 139 and the april km from jdubya dot org?.
seems strange even for them to release something and just a few days later nuke it.

in the life story of am3 i just had to laugh about the following.
"i must confess, however, that when i first learned the truth, i was not very tactful...".
ha ha ha... as if he is tactful today..
I wonder why these guys never talk about being anointed. Immortal heavenly life as rulers would have to be the greatest blessings they have received.
As I look back on my life, I deeply appreciate that Jehovah has always taken care of me. For example, the very day Jim found out that I was living out of my car, he put me in contact with a sister who owned a boarding house. I truly believe that Jehovah used Jim and that dear sister to provide a nice place for me to stay. Jehovah is so kind! He takes care of his faithful worshippers.
This deluded fellow thinks that God arranged everything for him to have a nice place to live, whilst a war was till raging on with children being slaughtered. I love that phrase that JWs say "I truly believe" which really just means that I have convinced myself.
More delusion is evident when he speaks about his soon to be wife studying a secondary Watchtower article and believing that this proved she was a spiritual person. But his words about loving his precious wife fall flat when he starts talking about her dislike to flying but makes her do it anyway.
Susan says that comments from other wives of Governing Body members, given in a loving way, have helped her to be determined to support me as much as possible. She certainly has done that, and I love her for it.
This comment irks me on so many levels. He makes is sound that his wife Susan doesn't have any other female friends and certainly none that could possibly give her any better advise than another wife of a Governing Body member. These GB men are so lucky to have the best and most supportive wives in the world. It is not a hard job at all when you compare it against the many Elders who have to hold down a full time job, care for their house and family and carry out all their JW duties. He should actually be worried that his wife has to look for support from the other GB's wives.
I wonder if he'll ever get any grandchildren.
joe slaiman and his wife jean were in the travelling work in australia throughout the 90's... ( i may have spelt the name incorrectly).
anyone remember them?
they were very well liked by many of the brothers and sisters.. i wonder what happened to him?

Hi Joe, welcome to the forum. I would love to hear the reasons for you leaving. I haven't heard the rumours and cannot be bothered to look them up. It seems that it is common for rumours to be spread by JWs who like to justify why a person is no longer a JW, it's pretty sad really but something that they could be sued for.
today... i'm going to talk to you..... about "sisters!!".
now our dear sisters... have a place ... in god's organisation.
they are not permitted to teach!.
Very funny.
As a side it made me wonder why we never see more than one GB member at a time in video's. Lately they have been showing a GB member seated next to a GB helper but not another GB member. Maybe they feel it would diminish their individual authority in some way but it would show them working as part of a team which is what the FDS is supposed to be all about.
i have updated the article at memorial partakers with the figures released for 2014. no surprises here, it has risen yet again, this time by 6% over last year, and is now 14,121.. .

They could easily come up with some new wacky explanation incorporating their idea about 'this generation'.
It could go something like this - since the number was going down until 2007 we can see this would have been the first and second overlapping group of anointed but now that it is rising from 2007 this must be the third overlapping group. So we know that Armageddon must be coming very soon because the number of the second group would naturally still be going down.
