End times "too late for you now" witnessing?

hello there.. i've heard it several times from different people while i was growing up, as well seen some people talk about it here on the forum.

the subject is the jw belief that a time will come before the end where they will change the message that jesus talked about, to one of damnation, where the world will be told something along the lines of "it is too late now".

do any of you have references to jw litterature where they write this?

I think they are softening up on this viewpoint. The July 15 2015 Watchtower explains their latest light on the matter. This was the article that had them saying there would be a 'rapture' of the anointed.

In that article they say that the GT will be "3 Soon, very soon,"

Although they state that they don't know the exact order of events they do state that the beginning of the GT starts with Babylon the Great (false religion/religious organizations) being destroyed but there will be some who leave their religions

even some of the clergy will abandon their religious course and deny that they were ever part of those false religions.

Here's what they say about the message changing during the GT

9 This will not be the time to preach the “good news of the Kingdom.” That time will have passed. The time for “the end” will have come! (Matt. 24:14) No doubt God’s people will proclaim a hard-hitting judgment message. This may well involve a declaration announcing that Satan’s wicked world is about to come to its complete end. The Bible likens this message to hailstones when it says: “Great hailstones, each about the weight of a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, for the plague was unusually great.”—Rev. 16:21.

In the article they explain

we cannot expect that the future interruption in the great tribulation will result in an influx of new believers.

An influx means a great number of people so they are leaving their opinion open to the idea that there will be some new believers.

Towards the end of the video the viewers are invited to report to the Elders if they have been involved in any of the situations revealed throughout the talk. What a great way to start life at Bethel or they could just as likely send you home for lying on you application.

The definition of flirting is when you treat someone as if you're interested in marrying them but have no intention of not doing so (seems I wasn't flirting with my husband before we dated after all).

If you masturbate in front of each other, that is not porneia but it is a serious sin and needs the elders to deal with it. (Somehow, masturbating whilst watching porn, which can be pictures of real people is not a serious sin and won't get you dfd).

Apparently, you may sometimes be struggling with same sex desires but that doesn't mean your homosexual. This got me wondering if Tight Pants Tony was behind this talk.

Bobby you say that the org. has every right to have their own rules for Bethelites. What is puzzling me is what rules are being established in this video that only apply to Bethelites and not all JWs?

I've listened to half of it so far. It's complete madness.

They make the claim that men are more affected by 'desire of the eyes' than women.

21.0 Flirting is discussed. A female can't tell a male that his hair or dress looks good along with enquiring as to his safety unless she is intending to marry him.

54.0 Makes some outrageous claims about tight clothing and that it looks homosexual because it makes the male look more feminine. It sexually arouses both men and women.

1.04 Is the pillow talk. A person may be guilty of masturbation by going to sleep with a pillow or blanket between their legs if it leads to a wet dream, you need to be honest with yourself when doing this if your intention is for this to happen. It's okay to have erotic dreams that lead to orgasim but you've got to examine whether you have thought of anything that has led to that, which would be wrong.

Wearing tight underwear and walking around in it, to the point of ejaculation is also masturbating yourself.

So far, not one scripture to support the claim that it is biblically wrong, that would be because there isn't one.

Bobby - I think “scandal-mongering” is the appropriate term for this video and his channel as a whole.

He learnt from the best and that may be another reason why some find him not to their liking.

It's fascinating when a poster makes a comment in regards to a particular person but when taken on its own applies very much to the organization that they support.

I would think 'gate' is being used because it suggests that it is a scandal. It may not be political power that is wrongly used but it is an overuse of religious power. It is also morally wrong to be imposing their conscience on others.

Implementing a level of standards for things such as hygiene is a wise thing to do and possibly some table decorum as well, but if an Asian wants to eat with his fingers because that's his custom then let him be, he'll change his habits if he feels out of place.

As for not asking the family Doctor at mealtime about a weird rash you have simply because it's not proper decorum is nuts. It could spread to the rest of the 'family', they wouldn't be too happy if you chose to ignore it because it wasn't seen as the proper place to ask about it. There are some rashes that require immediate attention to reduce recovery time, such as shingles or deadly spider bites. Early attention can mean a difference by preventing months of suffering. I would suggest weird rashes be investigated asap. Waking up with a weird rash and asking the Doctor at breakfast would be the right thing to do, alternatively going to the first aid centre immediately would be better but they might be at breakfast also. If your way of thinking is the same as the rule makers at Bethel, it's no wonder we see all kinds of ridiculous rules.

As for not one but two videos being made on this leaked video, there's going to be plenty more. You don't have a scandal without it spreading far and wide, maybe not as prolific as the original watergate scandal but it will spread.

ken cook was announced today at morning worship as the new member of the governing body.

1982 Pioneered

1984 Went to Bethel

Registered principal of the Milford Congregation which was established in 2009

MC RubberMallet's Post written 5 years ago states he professed to be anointed 3 or 4 years earlier whilst sitting at his desk in Walkill and he was in his early 50s at the time.

According to Rubber Mallet's info this would mean his anointment was around 2008 or 2009 and this is around the same period that ApolloX states he was transferred from Walkill to the Writing Dept. in Patterson.

Rubber Mallet makes no mention of his transfer to the Writing Dept. so it would suggest that he was transferred very shortly after his 'anointing' and groomed ever since.
