Can you ever see a time when Govt`s of this world will attempt to abolish all religions ?
by smiddy3 inwe are now in the 21st century of our common era with its insights into the potential of what can be achieved in the near future to benefit mankind for years to come .. the co-operation of governments around the world on so many levels has never been better than it is today and it is at least encouraging to see this .. whether it has to do with the climate , the environment ,food production ,safe water for all ,and the better health for all in the near future, and in the future space exploration.
however the problem today is still religion !
in its many extreme forms that divides us in no ways that politics divide us .. politicians learn how to compromise and work with their opponents for the greater good ,whereas religions don`t.. religions divide humans like no politicians ever did well not to the extremes religions will go anyway.. is their going to come a time in history when governments politicians say enough is enough and try attempt to abolish religion ?.

Religions do a lot of charity work that the Governments would otherwise have to provide. As long as they continue to do so, it is not in the interest of the Governments to abolish them.

In the parable of the wheat and the weeds they interpret the wheat as being true Christians and just the 144,000 whereas the weeds are counterfeit Christians. No comment is made as to where that leaves the rest of JWs.

Watchtower Nov 3 2018 All about God and his feelings
by days of future passed inthis is a subject that the wt has covered many times.
it uses the example of human feelings as a basis to understand god.. for instance: under the heading "does god notice you?
", it goes into great detail of about what a woman feels when she bonds with her child.

Over 99% of JWs are not currently even considered to be 'children of God' according to the Warchtower.

Getting Remarried after a spouses death & then they are resurrected after Armageddon ?
by LOLS inhi guys .
i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?
and i will not be asking my uber jw husband , don't have the energy.. thanks.

They used to teach that those resurrected would be sexless, neither male or female (like the angels). A few years ago they decided to change that teaching and said that they didn't know but it wasn't a good thing to speculate on it as Jehovah would make sure we would be content.

Thanks Blondie.
Its a strange title - 'Happy if you do them' In reality, there were many times as a JW that did not bring happiness when you followed the things the article discusses.

There's a Preview note on one of the articles in this newly released Watchtower. The note can be found on an article titled "Part 1 of 4 Love and Justice in Ancient Israel".
The note states -This article is the first in a series of four that will discuss why we can be sure that Jehovah cares about us. The remaining three articles will appear in the May 2019 issue of The Watchtower. The titles of those articles are “Love and Justice in the Christian Congregation,” “Love and Justice in the Face of Wickedness,” and “Providing Comfort for Victims of Abuse.”
In this article is a picture with the comment " Jehovah wanted children to feel safe and secure as they were lovingly raised and taught by their parents"Another picture has the comment "Jehovah loves us and knows when we suffer injustice (See paragraph 15)"
The text relating to this states
Lessons: Jehovah is not to blame when those who claim to serve him ignore his standards and harm his people. However, Jehovah loves us and knows when we suffer injustice. He feels our pain more keenly than a mother feels the suffering of her baby. (Isa. 49:15) Although he may not intervene immediately, in due time he will hold unrepentant wrongdoers to account for the way they have treated others.
Para 20 deals brings to attention the two witness ruleJehovah has compassion for his people, so he put safeguards in place to prevent individuals from being treated unfairly. For example, the Law limited the possibility that a person would be falsely accused of a crime. A defendant had the right to know who was accusing him. (Deut. 19:16-19; 25:1) And before he could be convicted, at least two witnesses had to give evidence. (Deut. 17:6; 19:15) What about an Israelite who committed a crime that was seen by only one witness? He could not assume that he would get away with his wrongdoing. Jehovah saw what he did. In the family, fathers were given authority, but that authority had limits. In some family disputes, the elders of the city had the responsibility to become involved and render a final judgment.—Deut. 21:18-21.
Further on in the article is this -Jehovah showed tender personal interest in the most vulnerable in the community. And he held those who mistreated them to account.—Read Exodus 22:22-24.
23 The Law also protected family members from sex crimes by forbidding all forms of incest. (Lev. 18:6-30) Unlike the people of the nations surrounding Israel, who tolerated or even condoned this practice, Jehovah’s people were to view this type of crime as Jehovah did—as a detestable act.
24 Lessons: Jehovah wants those he places in positions of responsibility to take a loving interest in all whom they oversee. He hates sex crimes and wants to ensure that all, especially the most vulnerable, receive protection and justice.I doubt they will address how they have failed on this in the past, but given the fact that they are pointing out the failures of the Ancient Israelites it may be possible.
They can't keep ignoring their child abuse problem and this is the start of attempting to address it in a slightly different manner. -

Who is the mediator for jehovahs witnesses?
by atomant inlm getting conflicting advice.ls it the 144000 or jesus.l was always under the impression it was jesus.lf its the 144000 then when they pray the jw;s should be praying through the remnant not in jesus christs name but in the 144000;s name..

Since the Watchtower states that Jesus plays the role of a mediator only in the instance of the new covenant and between spiritual Israelites/144,000 and God.
The next question to consider is what does the Watchtower teach that New Covenant is? It is very different to what most religions and bible scholars teach. Also, the Watchtower teaches of two different covenants in the New Testament as achieving the same thing. Look up Covenants in their Insight book.

Snakes in the tower - is your costing right? At $200per person for four to a room makes it $800 for one room.
