Wally from YT JW Thoughts did a video recently on a $1 million award that was given for the residences being developed as part of the Ramapo compound. Because of applying to enter this competition they were required to list the cost of the project.

Comprising 645 market-rate units, The Residences will feature mass-timber structural systems (reducing embodied carbon), green roofs, and an energy recovery system on the building’s drain system. Heating and cooling are centralized from a closed-loop geothermal system comprised of 280 wells at 800-ft depth, the largest to date in New York State. Aggressive heat recovery strategies and use of on-site renewables (3,200 KW photo-voltaic system coupled with utility grade battery storage) are all managed by a behind-the-meter micro-grid control through high-efficiency systems. This shows the cost of building 645 residential units at Ramapo will cost an estimated $168.000.000. This does not include the cost of the land or any other structures on the property, such as the studio itself.
There will also be a huge ongoing cost to not only maintain these units, there will be the cost of supporting those residing in them.
It's interesting that there will be parking storage for 545 bikes. At that rate, the JWs are going to look more like Mormons.

Fisherman, what you consider to be a 'bad influence' is way over the top. Even more so when it comes to a Grandparent wishing what he thinks is the best for his grandchildren.
In my morality book, a grandparent should be given way more respect, patience, kindness, love, self control, understanding, mildness, consideration and appreciation than anyone else by his own children. If his peaceful beliefs infringe on his children's or grandchildrens then he should be given a wide berth.

They will make every effort to wiggle out of the evilness of their shunning policy. We even saw that in the Australian Royal Commission. They put the blame on the individual, saying it was their choice and basically their fault for not simply fading.

The Vast Apostate Hour was on to this years ago and confronted Lloyd with the accusations. On one YouTube channel he was asked some questions, I also asked him. I don't recall the channel.
His response was to bring his wife into it and he wrote that when he showed her the accusations, they both had a good laugh together because of how ridiculous they were. All while refusing to answer the questions

If true, it's very amusing that both of his sons are anointed. What are the chances of that. Good luck to either of them in getting a promotion to becoming a GB member. They would be hesitant after all the antics from their father.
It's odd that AM IIIs wife is also missing. It would suggest that he's going through some decision making period which is odd if he's done something wrong and has supposedly repented. Although being given special treatment is a big possibility.

that aside when asked about whether the jw organisation would last, he would pull out the attached wt magazine (the second edition) and say "if the day ever comes when the organisation asks for money outright, it will be proof that jehovah is not it's backer.
" that's how convinced he was that such a thing would never happen.. i often wonder what my grandfather would make of the modern organisation today..
The opinions of many JWs change over time and they simply fall in line with what the Watchtower wants them to think.
When your grandfather believed this, they were buying books and magazines regularly from the Watchtower. They were also selling them to the public. They were told the charge only covered the cost of printing.
That all changed and JWs just accepted the new system. Chances are, your Grandfather would have gone along with it.
