  Microevolution vs Macroevolution (NOT an evolution vs creation debate)

  i've heard the distinction between microevolution and macroevolution a lot, especially from intelligent design arguments.

  microevolution being defined as changes or adaption within a species, and macroevolution being changes from one species to another.

  my impression is that there really is no such meaningfule distinction between macro and micro in the modern scientific sense of evolutionary theory.

  I've never understood how it's possible to accept micro but not macro given that one logically results in the other.

  I was still in in 2001 and wasn't aware of that. Not surprising really. I learned that last year though.

  I wonder too why they haven't updated the Reasoning book. Maybe no one really uses them anymore, either because they never have the opportunity or they're aware it's old light. I have seen JWs on facebook use it with other JWs though. Maybe they'll release something that completely replaces it.

  So this is unusual. Oh, I hope, hope, hope someone gets a copy of this somehow.

  He looks like he's about to jump. Seeing those pictures is just depressing.

  Has this happened before? Any other books pulled? Maybe we're seeing the start of a schism! Or something like the 80s again. I can only hope. If things get shook up maybe it'll wake some more people up.

  yes, the dates are correct, proofs are correct and judgment day came on may 21- but it was an invisible spiritual judgment- the end of the world is still coming on oct 21. harold egbert camping has just explained the truth to the world 5 minutes ago..

  Russell did not believe that Armageddon was to eternally destroy billions of unbelievers as Rutherford taught.

  It's my understanding that Russell taught 1914 would be the end of the gentile times and the start of armageddon, not the beginning of the gentile times. I also thought Russell's teaching on that wasn't changed until the 30s. What you quoted kind of jumbles it all together. The first sentence is what Russell originally taught but leaves out that he thought Jesus had already returned in 1874. The second sentence is what the teaching was later changed to. But that "time of trouble" as JWs understand it now is different than what Russell taught it would be, precisely because what he taught didn't happen.
