You are really old, if you know what show, the line " Yoohoo, Mrs Bloom" , came from.
I have to admit that I'm stumped on that one, moshe. Maybe something we didn't get where we were.
But my favorite was the Original Mickey Mouse Club.
Mine was "The Adventures of ..... Superman!"
botr, we were poor but my dad treated my mom like a princess, so I feel for you and your experience. We had a four room war-time bungalow. Four kids in one small bedroom and our parents in the other. Pot bellied stove for heating in the kitchen/dining room and a living room with second hand furniture. I think the TV may have been bought used too. I can also identify with the CP. My cousin was born 3 months before I was with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and he barely survived. My mom said the last trimester of her pregnancy with me was filled with dread. My cousin had (and has, he's 59 and still alive) severe CP, was one of six kids and his condition shaped the lives of his entire family, which was also poor. I remember having to use the outhouse whenever we visited. The thing about remembering all these old TV programs is all the other memories that come up, too. They may have been simpler times, but I'm glad they're behind me.
