  for those of you who are still faking meeting attendance and field service, do you still greet the dubs after the sessions?.

  because for me, i am increasingly finding it difficult to showcase any fake smile and pretend everything is allright.

  in fact, i'm already getting exhausted with the hypocrisy, i just have to remain in for family reasons.

  If you have grown up on a continent, beware of committing to an island for a long term. Even the most beautiful and lush can come to feel claustrophobic for some people. Most of them heavily depend on tourist trade and that impacts the livability in many ways.

  at first i applauded this, but then i realized it was the rats leaving the ship.

  how about making sure that anyone in the supply chain is treating workers with some level of decency?

  Agreed, J. The profit motivation is the driver of the system.

  If I pay $50.00 for a US mfd. garment instead of $20.00 for the same garment made overseas, I am out the extra $30.00 and theoretically have put a poor person out of work who has no welfare, unemployment insurance, etc. to survive on.

  The blame for 9 story Bangladesh factories that collapse and kill hundreds of workers should fall on the countries/governments who allow such construction. American corps like Disney should let it be known that they have minimum standards of not only mdse quality but working conditions and safety

  But I think that comparing the wages paid in poor countries with the same job in a US factory, is a skewed picture. It must be aknowledged that shutting down "sweat shops" in many cases is dooming the workers to starvation.

  I really don't think that is possible or even wanted. Lots of people would be unemployed in countries where there is no safety net for poor, unemployed.

  I have been where you are and it's amazed me how quickly one's outlook can change. Life is always worth fighting for, even if fighting means simply resting and seeking out those who build up and not tear down.

  Arboles - Glander's aides were hearing the babies screaming in the "Killing Room" and nobody was doing a thing...

  ?? I don't understand the reference...

  At first my thread on this subject seemed to have a consensus across political philosophy that the Gosnell crimes were indefensable. But has been crudely steered into the usual partisan comfort zone of adversarial rock throwing.
