i have been reading your posts for a few months and joined in a few times.

thank you so much for taking the time to write you experiences it really helps us newly awakened ones.. so here is my story........ my name is 70wksfyrs and me and my kids are victims of domestic violence at the hands of a so called jw.

A funny thing that happened to me today!!!

was cleaning the windows.a very old lady passed by him.

Mouthy, I know you wish that young fellow well, As do I. There are worse things than being a JW.

What Do You Read?

as a jw, i read all the publications and tried to understand all "theocratic" watchtower policy.. i read 3 newspapers a day and rarely read a book or magazine, other than wt.

stuff.. i read the bible a number of times and still find it a good read.. i love to read the internet news as well as the cherished drudge report.. what's your favorite read??.

Just finished "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed. Good book. Kind of heavy in places but great writing about her trek and her life. Hope the movie is as good.

Last night I got into a suspense/thriller by John Rector "Out of the Black."

Looking forward to the new Andrea Camilleri "Inspector Montalbano" book which I pre-ordered. I have read the whole series.

The only thing that cheers them up for awhile is a tragic disaster, like an earthquake. Or some kind of major conflict building in the middle east. Or talk about a worldwide economic collapse.

i would have to say that ray franz was the biggest influence for me.. when i first got on this board, a poster by the name of james, a former bethelite and organization heavy, helped me understand a lot of the inner workings in the upper echelons of the society.. .

and of course, farkel's common sense approach was (usually) helpful..
