  Aguest - Where do we collect on the all pieces you're throwing around.

  "Irregardless" puts my teeth on edge.

  Or as the nasally voiced teen girls say, "what AV-er!"

  Gree-vus, not gree-vee-ous.

  "I could care less" makes no sense in the usual usage. "I couldn't care less" makes more sense.

  people in congregations around the country (world - i have no idea what goes on in other countries with the jws) staying in the borg for all kinds of backwards reasons?

  how prevalent %% wise do you think this is?

  for example people manifesting "fear of man", fear of being ridiculed by members for leaving, or family reasons, or just to much stock in the organization to take the loss connected with leaving....all of whom really no longer believe the faith the way it's presented?

  It is a bald hijacking of the exchange between Jesus and Peter when Jesus freaked out everyone when talking of the need to eat his flesh and drink his blood. When asked why he didn't take offense and walk away with the others, Peter said, "Where else would I go Lord? Only you have the sayings of everlasting life".

  For this to be used in a twisted reference to the JW cult is a ridiculous appropriation of Peter's words .

  My Apostate wife is out on service

  as i write this, my wife who left the borg along with me is out on service with an old jw friend.

  her friend is visiting town and she didn't know we stopped going to the meetings when she called my wife and asked her out on a door to door service.

  my wife explained to her our current situation, but still decided to go out with her just this one time.

  I made a feeble, humiliating attempt to get reinstated because I wanted to have free association with my aged grandparents. I got through one meeting with the very skeptical committee and realized it was impossible. If someone is able to get back in to rescue a loved one and succeeds, then they have my admiration.

  Field service? Wow. Now that takes guts.

  bit of background info..... we have a neighbour who is a complete psychopath, she has tried to get us evicted, turned neighbours against us, bad mouthed us to our visitors.. last year our dog who is a jack/staff and is very healthy started to go downhill.... lethergy, depression, vomiting bile, coughing.

  we took her to the vets who ran loads of tests on organ failure, cancer etc and they all came back clear.

  he repeatedly asked us if she could have eaten anything.

  This has got to stop. The intermentent poisoning episodes will eventually kill your beautiful dog. I agree with a blunt confrontation of the neighbor including a printed copy of the possible charges for animal poisoning. Maybe tell her that you are installing a surviellance camera, wether you do or not. I hate people who would do this.

  today i uploaded a new article to my blog addressing a bit of watchtower history.

  it shows the last letter sent to the congregation committee of congregations with instruction on how to go about forming their replacement congregational governing structure.

  Couldn't have expressed it better, Willy.

  In my case, I was to supposed to rotate off the Judicial Committee after three years. Somehow I ended up on the JC for 5 years. Looking back, I think the reason was because of the unbelievable load of heavy cases involving the new WT sex rules and definitions, grounds for divorce, etc that brought JC cases out of the woodwork. Nobody wanted to be on the JC.

  It all worked out well for me because it gave me insight into the "make it up as you go" WT bullshit.
