did you ever see those parents with kids on leashes at conventions?
i always disliked it and thought it was wierd/lazy...granted i have never been a parent so maybe i dont know.
video reminded me how silly/messed up those leashes are.. .
We lost our three year old son at the Rose Bowl. The crowds were shoulder to shoulder. He had put a little red hat on him but that is worthless looking for a 3 ft tall kid in a crowd of people.
About the time my wife was about to have a meltdown I went to lost and found and there he was was.
i was cleaning my bookshelf earlier this week and got rid of all the wts magazines.
as for the books i haven't decided yet.

I have two back issues of the WT that introduced significant, watershed, "new light", that I keep as souvinirs. I have a old deluxe bound NWT bible that was my main elder bible for years. I still use it as reference once in a great while.

Wow, I have not been door to door in 30 years but someone mentioned the US Memorial Holiday Official Cemetary Ambush campaign. I suppose they still do it. Even as an Elder I could never bring myself to walk up to people standing at graves with flowers in their hands.
I believe the intro taught in the service meeting was something like, "Good Morning, how are you? wouldn't it be wonderful to greet your loved one again? You know, the Bible says that it will happen..."

today, i cancelled my subscription to popular mechanics.. why?.
both for the same reason.

Why?
Both for the same reason. They have adopted the tactic of billing me for a renewal because "you agreed to the automatic renewal" option, or words to that effect. "Your renewal fee is now due"
I have subscribed to both of these publications for years (on a year to year basis) and probably would continue, but this obnoxious and dishonest marketing ploy pisses me off.
Have any of you experienced this?

After suffering through two days sitting in the sun with two toddlers my wife and I decided that I would be there at gate opening the next morning. There was a mob there and when the gates were opened it was chaos. I had 3 song books to hold any seats I might score inside the afternoon shade area. I was outmatched by young "brothers" with rolls of masking tape to close off entire rows. The whole experience was ugly.

its portrayal of grey wolves was horribly inaccurate.
it will probably lead to an even more negative attitude toward wolves, which puts them in more danger.
i believe i read that the creators bought dead wolves while producing the movie.. its main characters' philosophizing was pretentious, cliched, and insulting to my intelligence.
I had put this movie on my "want to see" list but now I'm not so sure. Not because of the portrayal of wolves, but the description of the boring dialogue, acting, etc.

Being held hostage to the Watchtower Society because of family ties is really the only way they have to keep people in the "Truth" after 100 yrs of inconsistencies and outright lies.
