I've had migraines since age 8, and I'm now 42. Any kind of headache tablets don't work for me. I usually take a couple of Niacin tablets and go on my exercise bike for an hour. Sometimes the pain gets worse before it gets better, and occasionally I'll puke. For about a day after I get a fuzzy head, like I've missed a lot of sleep. I used to try and sleep in a darkened room for a couple of days, but that just prolongs the agony. I've read all sorts of experiences and methods, and I would say no two people are going to be the same, just try and find what works. A friend of mine crouches in a corner with his knees under his chin, and arms raised over his head, and hands on the back of his neck. (sounds crazy, I know) but I tried it, and it seems to ease the pain. Maybe it's a blood pressure thing? Sometimes when it's really cold weather, I go out for a long brisk walk, and after an hour or so I feel better. I can manage and contain my migraines much better now. I avoid too much hard cheese like cheddar, don't eat salami, get plenty of sleep, and only drink home-made wine with no nitrates in. I have a very sedentary job, so usually I find exercise and Niacin sorts me out.

Migraines?

i usually take some advil and i'm fine.. but, this past month, i've had about 4 migraines.
one is coming on right now, and i'm about to take an advil.

Will my cong inform my old cong in another country if I get DF'd?

if i decide to get myself df'd (by telling the next elder who visits me to "go and do one") is it likely they'll send a letter to my old congregation to tell them the news?
i'm from the uk but am living in a non-english speaking country.

My new country of residence in europe enforces the data protection act. One thought I've had since writing this is, will my being in limbo (a non-active publisher, not Df'd) bugger up the WT$'s data? Oh how they love their numbers and stats. If so, RESULT! I'll carry on being an undead/muggle for evermore.
I'll just have to smile, nod, and tell them to feck off in my head.

I'm from the UK but am living in a non-English speaking country. I'm just a bit worried they'll spoil things for me, as I have some family still 'in'. My current PO has written to my old cong in the past, and has their details still.
I still get the encouragement visits even after 10 years, but just avoid them and don't answer the door. They still greet me in the street, and around town etc, but I just want to tell them to get lost, coz it gets on my nerves.

Why do I no longer get attacked and persecuted by the demons, since I left JW,s ?
by pedal power inmost jw.s really believe that they ( as we once did ) are promoting gods will, but what if they really are ?
is it possible that god is supporting them even though they (governing body ) lie, because most jw,s are ignorant of the lies told on their behalf, ?.
when i was a jw i got attacked by the demons bigtime, but not now, and i can only assume that they (demons ) are happy that i am no longer a jw and are now leaving me alone, cant think of any other reason, has god ever supported a group who were similarly found wanting ?.

It's sleep paralysis, like many have already mentioned. I used to get it. It used to start at the beginning of the public talk, and end after the Watchtower study.
A friend of mine still sees spirits many years after leaving the WT. Her perception of them has changed. In a casual way she'll say she saw dead aunt maude in the lounge while she was watching telly the other day. No biggie.... She's no longer petrified of seeing weird stuff and dead folk. She has no explanation for any of it. One gem of wisdom that stands out for me is what she said the other day...
If the Watchtower org was really directed by god, then he's taking the piss.

The guy said he met a Circuit overseer that had been at Rome, and the C.O. had told a group of brothers and sisters. Whichever way it happened, they are all saying that the Jovos are all a bunch of whitewashed graves. Lol. Either way you look at it....result! Strange they weren't DF'd though. And he definitely said they weren't DF'd.
I'm just plugging them for info and gossip. They don't seem to be as clued up on the scandals though, as with Russell and Rutherford and Knorr. I have a job to do.

Apparently, the goss is that about 2 years ago, the Rome Bethel had to chuck out quite a few bruvvas an' sistas for wife swapping, pedofilia and homosexuality. Some were sent home, some were sent off to be Pioneers and servants (???)

On a serious note, a question to the US posters; How long do you think 'til this place is over-ran with tumbleweed? Will people seriously still be visiting this place in 5 or 10 years? I see lots of stories about fundies' fervour and the general population being practising church-going christians. I just find it totally bizarre. I don't think it'd happen in europe. Then again, europe is evil.

I've just heard they reckon it's gonna cost about 8-9 billion roubles, yet at the end of all the skimming, kick-backs and green handshakes they reckon as much as 100 billion roubles. People like the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will make tons of money out of this. He is a gangster and a killer. It's well known he's made lots of people disappear.
As for Qatar, they don't allow drinking in public, they still don't give rights to women, and they don't recognize the nation of Israel. I would fuckin love it if Israel won the world cup! (as if). The traditional scenes of revellers enjoying a beer, and scantily clad south American lovelies painted in their team colours will not be tolerated. They will enjoy their World Cup either being flogged, or deported.
What a bloody farce. It's going to be phenominally crap. Shame on FIFA.
