From your list I think perhaps 'life on Mars'. Not life per se, but the Mars Curiosity Rover finding either fossilized primitive cells or proteins that would have made life possible. People in general would shift away from religion if this were found, and the implications were easily explained to them by scientists.

Are We Living At The End Of An Age?
by metatron ini hardly know what else to call it.
i have felt many emotions in my life and anxiety, many times but this is different.. it's a sense of the impending, a build up of pressure like a wall of water behind a cracking dam.
when does it break?.

2 nuns in the bath. One says 'Where's the soap?' The other one says, 'Yes, it does'.
3 nuns are trekking across the desert after a plane crash. Mother superior says, 'If we don't take sustenance soon, we may die. Here I have hidden a small pouch of flour upon my person. We need to moisten it to make dough, then we may eat'. One of the nuns says, 'But how can we moisten it? We have no water!' Mother superior says, 'We must crouch over it and try to pass water. It's the only way'. Nun number one crouches over the small bag of flour and squeezes, pushes and grunts, but to no avail. Secondly, Nun number 2 crouches over the small bag of flour and goes red in the face, trying to urinate, but to no avail. Lastly, Mother Superior steps forward and says, 'You did your best, sisters. Now I shall try to moisten the flour.' She squats over the small bag of flour, holds her breath and squeezes. All of a sudden, she lets rip a loud rasping fart and blows the small amount of flour away on the wind. The other 2 nuns piss themselves laughing.

Quantum world POSSIBLY affects the macro world
by John_Mann inmigration via quantum mechanicsa perplexing property of quantum mechanics could be allowing birds to see and navigate the planets magnetic fieldsone-fifth of earth's 10,000 bird species migrate over great distances, crossing seemingly insurmountable obstacles as they follow the seasons.. demoiselle cranes fly to altitudes in excess of 20,000 feet as they pass over the himalayan mountains.
the arctic tern travels from pole to pole in pursuit of an endless summer, a distance of some 40,000 miles.. scientists have long speculated that certain animals are making use of magnetic fields to find their way, but biologists are mystified as to how they might do it.. now some answers might be coming from one of the most perplexing interactions in physics.. quantum entanglement dictates that if two electrons are created at the same time, the pair will be entangled so that whatever happens to one particle affects the other.
otherwise, it would violate fundamental laws of physics.. the two particles remain entangled even when separated by vast distances.. http://www.physicscentral.com/explore/action/pia-entanglement1.cfm.

The entangled electrons in my brain must be guiding me home from the pub when I'm rat-arsed drunk. I never know how I managed to do it the day after.

Heh heh. I was not trying to insinuate that Broadmoor is full of JWs. I think it's full of deranged window-lickers..... wait- it MUST have its own congregation.......Surely?

The Yorkshire Ripper (A baptized Witness), who killed 13 women is asking for day release and to be put in a medium security prison. He's a nice bloke and he reads the Watchtower for the WT study in prison. That's alright, then.

Nelly couldn't get her fat arse through a lot of caves. Also, she'd have to invent some sort of lamp for the pitch darkness.

Where does all the JW money go?
by LouBelle ini want to know.. does every kingdom hall, bethel and assembly hall belong to the watchtower, bible & tract society?.
each of those kingdom halls, bethels etc are built with the money obtained by that country's contributions.
if a loan is needed the bothers of that specific congregation pay off the loan.. the society has then an extremely huge amount of property worth billions of $$$$ who has control of all those funds?

I don't think I have ever either asked for/been given a donation when 'placing' literatrash. I assume that paying for the printing/distribution of mags takes a substantial chunk out of the contributions. I would say that all the capital is held in property, but isn't exactly liquid. If they ever need to sell property in the form of Kingdumb halls, they're only ever gonna be able to sell as community centres or doctors surgerys. I assume that even though they are all owned by separate legal entities, they are all property of the WTBTS anyhow.

GOOD NEWS. UK Charity Commisssion; "No presumption that religion is for the public benefit"
by nicolaou ini tweeted this link a couple of days ago but forgot to post it here .
the uk charity commission has refused to renew the charitable status of the plymouth brethren, a cultlike sect similar to the watchtower in so many ways.
as a result, some members of parliament are claiming that the commissions action is a "suppression of religion".

It would be ironic if a secular group managed to dictate what actions a religious organization needed to take in order to qualify as being a charity. Supposedly charity is a cornerstone of all religions, not just western, Christian religions. For the sake of clarity they should have to all submit annual reports to the commission to prove that their actions are indeed charitable enough. Perhaps by showing a ten percent contribution of net income to third-world poverty by means of a cash contribution which would pay for hospitals and the like. Also, they should clearly state that religions can't weasel their way out of performing real charitable actions by simply claiming that they give away free bibles and literature.
It's time that the charities commission got out it's moral rudder to guide all these clueless religions. I'd like to see all the rich churches sell off their gold crucifixes and priceless artworks, and I'd like to see the Dubs dishing out soup to tramps. It's time the secularists showed religion what charity really is.

It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
by raymond frantz ini just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.
although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .
the society in brief, requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.
