I want to start a website/ministry to help JWs leaving - how and why?
by Dogpatch ini have plenty of tips on my older site on starting ministries or outreaches.
though today they are now generally sites for public assistance, not personal blogs or opinion or doctrinal sites.
free minds has covered doctrines, news, opinions, and more for 32 years (since 1996 online).

The future of the meetings?
by Kool Jo ini bumped into this website....really interesting:.

How to Cause a Hardcore JW Brain to Malfunction
by Apognophos ini am leaving it to the reader to decide whether this trick is funny in a cruel way, or potentially beneficial.
it can definitely be used for evil, that is to say, personal amusement.
then again, it could be a kind way to help someone start thinking outside the box.

Honest survey question on effectiveness of 'apostacy'
by Simon init seems like lots of people have big dreams of 'destroying the watchtower'.
it's usually linked to a story of how they were wronged and want some revenge.
do these 'in your face' attempts to convince people that the truth isn't the truth really have an effect?.

Everyone on here is sooo negative about getting people out thru being active - True - loyal - strong - fully invested cult members - yup gotta find there own way ou most times. But there is a HUGE out ring of hangeroners (word?) that are ready and waiting for a reason - THAT is the market. I seen MY friend happy and she as much told me she had some knowledge about things I didnt know - hello google - hello outta there!! I hadnt been to a meeting in a year but was in NO WAY out mentaly and might have gone back :D

if we don't all unite, we may win a few battles but Watchtower will win the WAR.
by excaliber into thank you for taking the time to read this, because i feel that it is extremely important.
over the years we have been waring against the watchtower, and our battle field has been the internet.and we have been very successful in establishing discussion forums and online resorces exposing false teachings and we have used youtube to further shed light on the watchtower, we have even written books to this end.. .
yes we have attacked watchtower at its weakest point, the internet and we have been able to do this as small groups and even individualy.

wagging war not my cup of tea - but there are a lot of little things that have been done and little comments said that HAVE promptent others to think and escape... reasoning from the real world ;)
But one of my random thoughts : if we picked one congragation at random - some podunk off the grid tiny hall and thousands of letters showed up, think of the mass hysteria in that little cong it would cause. At bethal they have a mail room and a "junk" system. Can you imagine a mail truck puling up to the local KH? Quick Call Bethal!! - it would throw them off there game for a second. every month a new hall - ;)

JW CHILDREN GET PRESENTS ALL THROUGH THE YEAR. REALLY?????
by NAVYTOWN inis it really true that jw children get gifts 'all through the year', not just for christmas and birthdays like non- jw kids?
as stingy as most jws are, i find that very hard to believe.
plus the childhood magic of christmas and birthdays is totally absent in jw households.

We were poor but my mom wanted us to have things and my grandmother was generous..... HOWEVER I just said to my husband today NOTHING compares to christmas thru the eyes of our children - there is magic in the air and its not only our family that is playing along to make a special time and a memory for them its the WHOLE of our world conspiring to provide it....from the community parades, the neighbors, the school, their friends, TV, the internet, SANTA - oh my what a time and what an awe inspiring month it has been <3

My Story
by Brother Mike inmy story is long, heart stopping, tragic, and puzzling.
since i posted what was said to be my last post, i received a private message which sparked my attention about the watchtower.
immediately i did research, and have found not only proof from outside sources, but the watchtower openly admitting it.

when you believe something to be true with all your heart - then something comes along and gives you a funny feeling or doesnt "sit right" with you, but you dismiss it because you know if you thought about it youd have to change all your other thoughts and beliefs.
simply our brains love straight lines between here and there - cd is like a break in the line - we either have to rewire or ignore the new thought so the old line works again.
maybe you believe Gay is bad or wrong - you meet a coworker and you like him then you find out he is gay - cd kicks in and your brain gets that funny feeling cause you dont want him to be evil - so your brain makes something up like "well maybe he was abused as a child and Jehovah will save him because of that abuse" problem solved gay people are still evil and you can still like your coworker - cd is a beautiful bit*(
