WT Loyalist on Apostate sites!!!!!! My Vent
by 3dogs1husband inalas i need to vent!!!!
how can the posters who claim to be 100% loyal to the watchtower take themselves serious i mean you are on an apostate site!
that is not allowed, you have reasoned that it is okay for you to do this, therefore you are not 100% following the slave.

They never speak from the heart, never have a personal opinion, it is sooo sad.
Their own actions discredit them, unless they are here by WT direction, in which case the WT again keeps the rank and file in the dark keeping secrets from them.
Sometimes people agree with the Wt beliefs on a subject sometimes they don’t – that I can respect. As a long time luker, and fader, and a short time poster, I have to say this is really my only thing that frustrate me here. (Although it makes me sooo happy I am no longer under control)
I enjoy all the different belief systems, and ways of reasoning found on here. I do not know where I will end up myself. Eventually I could see (feeling a pulling) being a new testament Christian, however, with all the spiritual abuse I am really feeling like just being for now. (And all you atheists out there appealing to me and all my common sense!)
Thanks for listening to my vent feel better already !

How many of you atheists, agnostics, deists are celebrating Xmas??
by SweetBabyCheezits inwe are celebrating xmas this year for the first time.
it's kinda weird because, even though we're doing a xmas tree, decorations, gifts, we're more or less taking the christ out of christmas.
so how about the rest of you non-christian heathens?.

Hi Sweets
I'm pretty ctafty, and I have a great Idea for on top of your tree. Okay use your imagination. Take a light bulb....spray it yellow, draw a pretty face on it, glue some very pretty wings on the back, wire it to the top of your tree, and voilla....the angel of new light! I also plan on spray painting some light bulbs yellow, and glueing red felt christmas hats on them and hanging them from a tree.....new light ornaments.
I am still fadding so I will let you have the fun this year...

Suggest a coffee maker, please
by cameo-d ini can expect my coffee pots to malfunction usually about the time the year warranty runs out.
i have gotton the coffeemakers at jip*lmart for the last 10 years or more; none have lasted much longer than a year..ok maybe 18 months at the most.. anyway, since it stopped brewing, i have just been pouring hot water from stovetop over the coffee grinds....sort of the melita way, but it doesn't exactly f l o w like a melita.. i would like to have something non-electric like melita, but i hate that name now because it reminds me of jacarass's ill tempered wife.. can anyone recommend a good coffee maker?.
also, do you find any difference in the quality of a name brand product when it's sold at jip*mart as opposed to a place more upscale?.

Hi Cameo-d
hehehe you just have to come on over.....lets see;
I have a Kruieg that brews k cups ( I also have instant hot water for tea as well) I use this when I have 5 mins to run out of the door in the morning.
I have a Black N Decker under counter mount 12 cup brewer with all the options. I use this when me and DH have a sleepy weekend and just hang out all day (sat or sunday) we keep a pot on the brew.
I have (My Favorite) my saeco esspresso machine with built in burr grinder. OH MY COFFEE GOODNESS! when I want a treat or when we have company this baby gets a workout.....BEST THING EVER! I also have just left it on all day and just run shots of espresso whenever I want an americano.
I have an awesome French Press in the cupboard.
So Come on over and have a cup!

AGuest:
by Vicosovich_R indo you believe that just because you start your posts with, may you have peace, that you are genuinely kind?
when in actuality, when you greet people with that message, then follow it with sarcasm and snide remarks, you are really being cruel.
when was cruelty ever synonymous with being faithful?

Vicosovich_R most definetly came from a Kingdom Hall! Maybe he is not a newbie to the board but someone who just joined with another profile to slam AGuest? AGuest, anyone on here out to get you?

Thanks and Goodbye
by brotherdan ini really do appreciate all the help you guys have given me in this process.
but it's time for me to leave.
it was time for me to leave the wt (at least in my mind) when it became damaging to me.

I just read a few of the threads, and wow Br Dan needs a week in Mexico with a Margaritta. I found for me I had to let go of all my beliefs. Just strip myself blank.....I went to the place where there is no God. I learned to be okay there. But now I am feeling pulled to start to learn and ask and read. I might feel comfortable one day being a christian. Right now I am just okay figuring it out. Letting go is the first step to finding out who you are. But being stripped naked of all your beliefs (esp as a former JW) is the most painful and humbling experience ever.....maybe Br Dan wasnt quite ready for that yet?
I hope one day he gets that this was maybe the first time, people valued him enough to question him.

Maybe this is part of your journey, perhaps you got to invested in this site and now feel the need to let it go? It wouldnt be such a bad thing to unplug take some time and come back once in awhile lurk, and maybe post and let everyone know how you are doing. I have never gotten into much debatting about the whole god/bible stuff on here because I choose not to. No one else gets "it" ..... hopefully we see you soon!

Generation Teaching - Everyone is speechless?
by Red Piller inmaybe the effect of this change is bigger than realized?
in 1995, it was discussed (positively) by everybody, during the week we studied the wt.
one elder stepped down and was looked down upon.

Ty Sab...
Of course it was also soooo many other issues, the fact that my husbands (3rd gen JW) grandfather who was at bethal new and talked to the judge regularly (privatley said he was a bit of an ass) was kicked out for marrying, looked down upon for haveing one child, sold his house in 75 gave most of the $ to the WTBTS bought a truck camper and a piece of crap piece of land in the dessert to go and wait and preach till the New System came. He is Dead, he died 3 years ago thankfully he couldnt remember how much he gave and wasted, however his lovely wife well into her 80s now is sad and angry, but still faithful....she is a mummering. We are outraged for her - for this families wasted lives. The pain of Dissfellowshiping for generations - the horrible decisions of how to care for her when no one takes care of their finances.
So maybe with that background we were more senitive to the gen bull crap. Like many others i fell the young gen does even care about the doctrine, or the past, or old people in general. They might not care as much?!
new darkness - great!
